today i decide to download the PBE, everything was going good but when i try to introduce my summoners name i couldn't, just shows me "Name currently unavailable. Enter a new name and try again" so i did it and the same message appears, try everything but nothing works, so i don't know what to do, i mad o mistake o i should try later?

Hey, So my internet is working fine, everything is as it was when i managed to play lastly about 12 hours ago. After logging in i noticed the "Play" button is all Greyed out. When hovering on the Play button i can see the message "You are unable to play because you may be offline." Now this is just nonsense. I can play any online game i have in my library all beside League (on PBE). Now connecting to the main server (Euwest) everything works fine exepct for now... now i just get the "high traffic message" but before that everything was fine. Now, i cannot for the life of me find any information online regarding such problem. Does anyone have any solution? Things i have tried in the past couple of hours. 1. did complete client repair. 2. did complete reinstall 3. restarted my router. (also tried on another network in another place as im using a laptop) did not work on both networks. Point number 3 leads me to believe this is a server issue. But if thats true how come i cannot find any new posts on it. ARURF is up and im sure people are playing right now. Hi! We're doing maintenance right now so the PBE is down. For future reference we aim to do maintenance around this time (12pm PST +/- 1 hour) most every week day.
Heya (this is EbonyAMV) So I'm encountering this problem aswell, the "Play" button is greyed out. I also get the "You are unable to play because you may be offline." message. Normal server works perfectly fine and I've battled this issue since yesterday without any success xD And yes I can see people play normals and ARURF I tried the following: 1) complete client repair and repatching 2) reinstall 3) hextech repair tool 4) checked the LeagueClientSettings.yaml 5) router restart and ipconfig reset with pc restart after repairs etc 6) obviously googling aswell (a bit desperate) xD So far I didn't find a fix for this sadly. Good luck guys! Logs are attached at the end of this post :) Edit: You can join a lobby if someone is in a lobby which can enable you to play a game now and then but even then it doesn't always work. Follow up. We could use some logs to help figure out what's going on here. If you're still encountering the issue, launch a new instance of the League Client, wait for the home page to load, and then close it. Then go to your Riot Games > PBE folder and ZIP the Logs folder. Upload that to a file sharing service and link it here. I'll take that ZIP and forward it to the right dev team that will be looking into a fix. Thanks!

I'll use this thread for some vis into server status. Sorry for the long downtime! We're making a fair number of backend changes this patch cycle and so this first PBE maintenance is a particularly painful one. Unfortunately there's a bug with how the new server status site and the new launcher behave with our old automation for sending out status updates where nothing is displayed, so providing updates is difficult until we get that fixed. At this point in maintenance we're resolving the last kink before we can effectively QA sweep and then open PBE back to you all. Can't give a solid ETA though since this last issue has taken us over an hour already without a confirmed fix. Keep watching the top right status bubble to see if maintenance has ended! Update: PBE is now open.
I remember there was tools like increase/decrease armor, health, magic resistance and stuff, but I cannot find it recently. Is there any change on that? Is it coming back any how or is it just going to be deleted? I was to test which item can do more damage ({{item:3071}} {{item:3036}} {{item:3142}} ) according to enemies' armor, and I can't find this feature anymore? It would be great if we have this back.

Hi Starsky! I think unfortunately you might be mistaken. As far as I recall, there have never been cheats/features to allow the adding of Armor/MR/health stats directly. There have only been options to spawn the practice tool dummy, who has pre-made stats. And there has been the ability to give yourself replenishing health and mana; but I don't think there has ever been stat increases. I'll double check with someone just to be sure, but I'm pretty sure those features don't exist and aren't planned for at this time.

I know everyone in the thread wants a toggle but it was something that we considered but ultimately decided not to do due to the amount of players that actually use toggles found by our insights team (it's extremely low). And adding a toggle isn't as easy as a switch: we double our test cases, increase rigging scope, it causes clipping and animation issues, and is actually a pretty big pain to incorporate. Player knowledge of toggles is something we'll be revisiting with our SR rift team (maybe we could have better messaging for it) but overall a big example is project pyke's toggle which we spent 2-3 days of full development days to get right only for many players not even using it let alone knowing about it. I'm sorry to bring bad news but we can retroactively add a toggle should player use of it rise. I hope ya'll understand, thanks.

Update to highest voted Janna feedback (Q/W/E/R): We actually tried removing the gems on the Q and trailing on W but it was seeming more like a 975 skin and also no gems on Q had gameplay impacts since it was matching SR too much. I mean, imagine this without gems, we would get "pay to win" backlash from non-janna players which we're really careful with: https://i.imgur.com/9zyTjmz.png For E that's totally understandable, I'll see if we can add some kind of movement to make it more janna-like. As for the R/ult, we initially had a large sandstorm but it was way too noisy and we committed more VFX for the initial R oomph/pushback. There are still many dust and sand particles in the AoE we just couldn't do as much as you guys probably want. We got criticism from our playtest team that during teamfights it was overriding and clouding many abilities. I hope you guys can understand, sorry to let ya'll down. I know as fierce janna mains of course being more pure to classic is what you guys probably want but we've had internal playtests that really like what is disliked in this thread (the gems and w-trail specifically). It's hard to appease everyone and once again I'm sorry T_T.
Someone from r/Janna (u/Ir_Abelas) didn't have pbe to post their concerns about GotS Janna, so: "Me and a few other Janna mains kinda agree with this, that after seeing that new Dragon skins were coming out, we were hoping that Janna would get one, something akin to Dragon Sorceress Zyra, but instead Janna receives Guardian of The Sands. However, I'm willing to work with what we have been given, as this skin does have potential. Instead of just writing a whole bunch of paragraphs, I'm going to section this post off, each section referring to a different part of the skin, and concisely stating my concerns and opinions with that specific part. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sk0xIU9fga4 ^ Link to the Skin Spotlights video featuring the skin. BASE MODEL Sacred Sword Janna and Bewitching Janna had really set a standard for Janna's hair physics in new skins, and Guardians of The Sands falls just below that standard. In this skin, her hair looks just like her classic model, if her classic model was actually up to date. In many ways, this skin simply looks like a visual updated base Janna with a Shuriman flair, and in all honesty, when I saw this skin I thought it was 975 RP until I saw the actual price. Aside from needing better hair physics to match the quality of the two skins I had mentioned before, both of which are 1350 RP quality, I'd personally prefer that Guardians of The Sands Janna, instead of having those cyan tassels, instead had a cyan train (think wedding dress train) that drapes behind her, so the skin looks more unique. Q Those little blue gems at the top of it just need to go, I get that they want it to look unique, but her Q would honestly look better without them, in my opinion. It looks like they ran out of ideas so they were just like "throw these on", when less is actually more. The little trail of symbols it leaves behind in it's path is enough for it to stand out, the blue gems are like putting icing on top of more icing. W Kind of the same issue I had with her Q. With her Q, it's a tornado, so it sort of makes sense that it leaves behind a trail of symbols, as though it was unearthing a hidden trail beneath the sands, hence the name of the skin. With this one, the effects and the coloration are enough, but the trail of symbols it leaves behind visually overloads the ability. It's simply to much. E Simply put, it looks like Lulu's shield. All the shield Enchanters have visually different shields to tell them apart. Morgana has a hexagonal pattern, Janna's shield looks like wind wrapping around somebody, Lulu's has little sigils that make it look like some sort of fey enchantment, Yummi has a golden leaf encircling someone like something out of a book. The little sigils in Janna's Guardians of The Sands shield makes it look like it belongs to Lulu. The skin is called Guardians of The Sands, make her shield look like sand winds wrapping around somebody, to protect them. R It's so pretty, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't really live up to the ability name. Her R is called monsoon, Janna supposedly whips up a storm to blow away her enemies and protect her allies, so you'd think, "Skin is called Guardians of The Sand, she makes a giant sandstorm" but that's not what we get. Instead, it looks like Janna lays down a Shuriman glyph and just kinda.. floats in the middle of it with her staff up for 3 seconds. Doesn't look like a sandstorm, doesn't even really look like she's channeling anything, even though it's a channel ability. Janna has an issue that many of the other Enchanters have, which is that all of their skins tend to be the same. Always hyper feminine, always cute, always pastel, with a very obvious preference for brighter and lighter colors, such as pink, blue, and green. To me, this skin is Janna's chance to get a skin that showcases her as something powerful, not necessarily something to be feared, but someone that is formidable." My first impression on this skin was that it was amazing, probably because I wouldn't hesitate to spend my money on any Janna skin, but after seeing their evaluation, I agree that GotS Janna could've been greater.

Rengar: Well, here are some SFX bugs. 1. Leap volume should be increased. 2. If you jump with your Q activated, your Q "Activation SFX" will still play, instead of cancelling it after stabbing. 3. Q SFX volume is very low compared to other abilities. 4. Dance sound missing 5. I love the skin but feel as though the purples are too saturated? When I first look at this skin I immediately think of Cosmic Rakan as the purples are so strong. Perhaps darkening or desaturating the purples would help make the skin feel more "Nightbringer" (more shadows that are darker/less purple) and less "Cosmic". Otherwise I love everything else.

Ult needs visual clarification. Dark colors blend in too much in chaotic teamfights. Literally can't tell if I've ulted or not and if I did, who got hit.

I think that Aphelios' current channel time he has when switching weapons feels clunky and is not optimal for a character like him that's got no mobility. It's a nuisance when you're trying to make plays as you have to keep an eye out since if you're low on ammo (10 or less), after using your main weapon's ability and wanting to make a quick switch to the off-hand one, Aphelios instead will take his time creating a new gun while you're probably spamming your 'switch weapons' button only ending up with the new summoned one when you think he should have switched it already, and it disrupts the flow and probably messes up your combo. Very often I ended up being confused and after eventually switching to the weapon I wanted I would go back to the new weapon and switch back to the desirable one, losing time and missing out on the kill, or potentially getting myself killed. Eventually I've learnt to keep an eye out so I know that when my ammo is low and if I'm about to switch to the off-hand weapon I have to press 'switch weapon' after the new weapon has been summoned already, so I don't lose the track and control of what I'm about to do. My suggestions are: 1) make the channel time scale with his auto-attack speed, if possible. I think the main problem is that currently it's taking too much time and all you can do during that is to move around, and it's taking longer than his AA window (the time between his AAs) so it feels like a disadvantage. I found it frustrating and unnecessary to have to look at my ammo and after that look at channel duration, so when I press 'switch weapons' he actually does it, because if you press it during the channel, he won't; 2) make it so when you press 'switch weapons' during the channel, you automatically switch them when the channel ends (so there's a little queue) I hope I explained well, but here's an example: I have Severum in my main hand and Crescendum is my off-hand weapon. I have 10 or less ammo left on Severum, so I decide to use Severum's ability so it buffs Crescendum and then I want to switch to Crescendum and keep attacking with it. That's my plan. So what I want to do is to press Severum's ability and then press 'switch weapons', so I have Crescendum as my main weapon, but what happens instead is that after using up all of Severum's ammo Aphelios starts to summon a new weapon, and during that time I press 'switch weapons' because I want to attack using Crescendum. What used to happen very often is that I would just start attacking with the new summoned weapon, being confused, then press 'switch weapons' and press it again and then having to press it again, due to being lost. After I've realised what kept on happening I've learnt to wait for Aphelios to summon the new weapon first, and then switch to the weapon I wanted, but, as I said, it feels like a nuisance and something that could be tweaked to make fighting with Aphelios more fluid and intuitive, something I think this and probably every champion needs. He doesn't have much mobility or an ability that would allow him to easily escape so of course I'd want to try to keep my attention on the battlefield instead of the channel time. Thanks for writing this up! We found that he was even _more_ confusing to play (and to play against) without this delay on acquiring a new weapon. The delayed turned out to be very important for helping the player realize they had to change their plan, and giving opponents a moment to prepare themselves. That said, you make some good points and I will consider scaling it down a bit over game time (or with attack speed). Cheers~

Some small updates for next build: The Passive tooltip's gun list now changes its order to reflect the actual order. R icon now pops when you get a point in it at lvls 6/11/16 as a reminder. Number of mini chakrams capped at 20. Crescendum Q range is clamped (so if you cast it far away, you won't walk up and cast it there, you just cast it at its max range from your position).

I've played Aphelios and understood his gameplay. It was a hard progress for a fantastic discovery! A champion stands out from other 147 (am I right?) with the interaction of the passive - skills - and his weapons, which makes players should consider to use which 2 weapons at a acordant time and situation wisely. An epic step in gameplay development!! But somethings that doesn't make me satisfied for the first look: 1. The in-game model color (with his splash art) doesn't reflex each other. Maybe the model, should be a bit darker. 2. Aphelios movement kinda... itchy. He usually swing his main weapon crazy when I suddenly change the direction of his long move. 3. There are still some bugs which occurs to the Calibrun displaying the Aphelios' attack range without the bonus of 100. Sure I will find out how the bug shows off and report it ASAP.

Interresting champion for sure, however his entry level seems to be fairly low, since he plays similar to other adcs. As for bugs: Additional attacks from abilities do not proc Rageblade. High amounts of Chakram stacks leed to performance issues.

Hello! Glad to hear he isn't too unapproachable, we've been worried about that :P Which abilities did you notice not proc'ing rageblade?
When using Severum Q with Infernum as secondary, the AoE deals significantly less damage to the targets than if you were autoattacking with Infernum (below 10% kind of reduction). In case this is intentional for balance purposes, I haven´t seen it listed anywhere. If it's a bug, it nerfs that weapon combination by quite a ton. Edit: Just noticed Incendiary Onslaught (Severum's Q) autos are reduced by default, however, since Infernum autos are dealing 44 dmg and Severum are dealing 40, it seems weird to me that Infernum AoE is dealing only 11 dmg per hit (This is tested at lvl 18 no items no dmg dealing runes against a lvl 1 target dummy) If Infernum deals 110% to first target and 100% through AoE, shouldn't the AoE in this case be dealing 40 dmg?

Was this testing done on minions? Infernum splash deals reduced damage to minions. If not, let me know and I'll investigate further!
Hey! I made an individual thread on this because I forgot and didn't check the pins for this thread, but here it is again. I keep my chat and third-party moveable icons if I have any going (like symbols indicating people I have on voice chat), or the blitz.gg CS counter, over on the right-hand side, right where Aphelios's low ammo counter is. It gets pretty distracting seeing the ammo counter pop in and out, and go down. I know it probably wouldn't be a common issue, but it'd be really nice if we could get a toggle for the feature, on Ctrl + 5 or something.

Ah, I'm sorry to hear it doesn't work well with your setup. To be honest with you, it's unlikely that we'll end up prioritizing a toggle over other tech/ui improvements, but I'll bring it up in case it ends up being rather easy!
Hey Stashu, TL;DR I really enjoyed playing Aphelios. I personally think all the hype of how complex he is to play will die down a lot once players get a few games in. I found the kit to be engaging and versatile. The combos are very interesting and challenge players to adapt to a number of different play styles. I also agree with other comments that his kit may be a little overturned. There do seem to be clear downsides and moments of vulnerability as Aphelios, but given how many tools he has, this level of counterplay seems healthy. Overall, I think he will add a new type of marksman to the group, with several unique features. I look forward to playing him on live. Great job to the team who made him! Cheers, JB
