: PBE Bug Megathread - Patcher and Client Landing Page Visual Update
Did you guys disable these? Because I no longer get either updated client or updated launcher. Just making sure.

: I agree with Khaot, when playing any champion you want to get to know their strengths and weaknesses so that does include range and cast times of spells. Lighting up the ability would be beneficial to learning the champ but should only be used during intro/beginner bots. Also you can check the range of the spell if you hover your pointer over the spell or else turning on manual casting also helps in learning the range of spells too.
That's fair I guess. I feel like the difference here though is that unlike other champions, you never really see how far your abilities can go. With Morg and Nami, you can easily learn the range with range indicators and smartcast. With the other two, there's a zone where you aren't really sure and it's mostly guess work. Then again, I like the idea of jungle timers, and junglers seem to hate it. I guess less experienced players are always going to want to make the game easier, and more experienced players will always... not. At least by suggesting it, I can see other people's perspectives and maybe change my own :)

: RP
No, because the point of PBE is to test new content. New content is made available to purchase through IP and you can get more IP by playing and actively testing things on the PBE. See: http://boards.pbe.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/bugs/jZBO1YXY-new-players-rp-and-ip?comment=00050000

: Newest Sona Update!
Actually, I was really really hoping that Sona (and Soraka too actually) could get an indicator of when their Q is in range of an enemy champ. That way, you're less likely to accidentally take farm when you're aggressive. Please consider it? Thanks

: Skins splash small update coming to PBE
For most of these, it's a huge improvement! That Candy Cane MF skin! But : Noxus Hunter Anivia: I don't know what anyone can do about that one. I don't like it, but others might. I mean, it's better than the old one I guess but..... Blast Zone Heimer: The quality is better, but Heimer doesn't look like a yordle anymore. Again, maybe it's just me. Anyways, Huge improvement for the older skins, thanks!

Client store wouldn't load (less than a min), when it did, gave "session expired" message. This is the first place I went when I logged in.

: Sona Update is back! Feedback and changes here!
The range restriction makes E particularly... ineffective. Increase aura range, decrease cooldowns :)
: >How many games have you played on the Sona Update? As of this update, two so far. >What sort of game was this? (Doom bots, Summoners Rift 5v5, Standard Bots, Howling Abyss, etc.) Both normal blind pick. >Did you find any bugs? Nope. >How was laning phase? In the first game, it was ap Sona mid vs. a mid cait. That laning phase sucked. While I did get an early kill on her due to her being an idiot and standing near minions when she auto'd me, plus she underestimated my burst, but good lord the poke. I was lower than half health the entire time, usually closer to 25%. If the enemy had a better jungler, I should have died many times over. In the other game, I was support bot against Lucian and Alistar with Cait as my ADC. Again, we got an early kill due to enemy stupidity, but even then, Alistar could still flash in and kill me whenever he felt like it. It was followed by long periods of my poking them enough that they couldn't go in, but I could never force them out of lane for long. >How was mid and late game? Pretty good. Either my ultimate got smaller or I am remembering wrong, because I kept whiffing my forced dances, but my Q plus auto chunked people for a good long while and my W kept my allies healthy. My main complaint was that I was constantly out of mana. Like, in both games, at least two allies died because I was oom. This even occured in my support game, where basically all of my items had mana regen (frost queen to censer to Mikhael's) and I was still risking ooming myself in order to heal my allies or damage my enemies. E is still a useless spell, by the way. >How risky was tagging your allies with your auras? Well, it got me killed trying to take dragon. Didn't know he did AoE damage now. It was pretty risky to try and shield/extra damage anyone but my ADC. Also, I never got close enough to an ally to speed them up with my level one E. In fact, I couldn't catch anyone with it. They had +1 tier of boots than I did and I never got close enough to power chord E them. >How often was the risk worth the reward I wouldn't say often. I was still incredibly squishy in both games and trying to give a melee champ like Kha'Zix a shield wasn't worth anything unless he was trying to run away. Likewise with Q. It did a decent amount of damage, but it wasn't worth getting into melee range. >How did you feel about your impact on team fights? Q and W let me have a good impact in a team fight. I constantly whiffed my ultimate, though, but that's my bad (either that or you guys actually lowered it's size). My contribution was basically 'Q+power chord someone to chunk them, W while standing near as many people as I could' though. Her lengthened cooldowns still felt annoying, even with 40% cdr. >What did you think of Sona's updated audio? I didn't even notice. >What did you think of Sona' update art assets? Give her her multicolored hair back, please. I'm happier about this update than I was, but the mana issue was really pissing me off, and the PBE is a terrible place to figure out how a champ actually works (given I'm almost certainly better than most of the people playing it.) Plus, I never went against hard engage supports, and a sample size of 2 isn't very good. Honestly, I'd probably have to wait til this gets on live to figure out how I actually feel about this.
The range on her auras can make it hard to use them effectively. I don't think the bonus buffs really even make it worth it to have to get really close to teammates, even in team fights. I also thought they made ult smaller. I agree with most of this

: Doom Bots of Doom Enabled on PBE!
Maybe I got really lucky, but I had a really pleasant first 1-bomb game. No one DC'd (although I crashed a few times while loading, but reconnected fairly quickly), and even though it was a challenge, we won. And our ADC fed more than everyone else too. It became clear early on that the standard meta was not going to work, so we improvised. It's true that team fights were impossible, but catching 1 or 2 bots at a time was more than manageable. Not only that, but bots would use their abilities from the fog of war that would give a heads up to where they were coming from. It was hard but it wasn't so frustrating that it wasn't fun, and I'm definitely going to play more. Good feedback is useful too, right? It's a fun mode - thanks!
: PBE Bugs & Feedback: Jungle Timers!
It's interesting that so many people are complaining about the new jungle timers. Everyone seemed to jump on crs voice and use those timers. Jungle timers are not a new concept - there are third party applications that do the work for you. People are complaining about the skills associated with memorizing jungle times, but at this point, its more of a personal choice anyway. Adding in official jungle timers into client is a great way to partially control third party content on Riot's own terms. But anyways, I don't have a ton of experience playing and for me, jungling seems kind of hard to get into. Especially with so many toxic players, there is a lot of pressure to succeed. I feel like having access to this kind of tool would making learning the jungle role much easier and smooth the learning curve. If people are so against having it in higher level play, at least make it available in lower level play for less experienced players. I think it's a good feature, and I would like to see it live.
: Intro Bots Enabled on PBE
It might be a good idea to *mention* warding and active items, even if you don't incorporate it into bot games yet. Maybe add these lessons into Beginner bots, since beginner bots are geared more toward players who have learned the basics? Something like, "this is a ward, it gives vision. try beginner bots for a more in depth lesson", or "this item has an active effect. You can use these by pressing the item key". What I really liked though was that it shows ranges of enemy champion skills. When you haven't even seen a Ryze before, it definitely helps to know how close he has to be to hit you. I wish this was around when I started playing!
: Feedback on the new Mecha skins
Also, I think it's kind of weird how Malph is bright purple. I was expecting something more like gunmetal. The purple/red theme isn't even that bad, it's just so... bright. I love the skill animations too, but the color scheme seemed a little inconsistent.
