no way, you can use Q to regen mana????????? ok that's interesting.
: MYMU - Vel'koz Discussion
I think if W ap ratio is reduced, one of the following should also happen: 1. Increase base damage or detonation damage 2. Reduce Mana Cost 3. Reduce Recharge Time As a Vel main, I am great at Q/geometry, but it still has many "conditions" for where you can poke an enemy with it, obviously minions get in the way, projectile speed. I will login to PBE right now to try it, I guess I can't see Q from the enemy's POV though, hmmmm. I need a second PBE account! Either way, making it so that W can't be used for wave clear until late mid game, or early late game, does change things. I generally do a E+W on casters, making sure to hit the melee, then follow with another W, or maybe now I can try a Q, and save a W. Maybe Q explosion (initial and the split projectiles) should have a slightly bigger radius to be sure it can hit a trio of minions? You can hit 3 a lot of times based on the angle, but sometimes it misses one where you think it would hit all 3 because of explosion/hit radius. It's a geometry thing.

: All for one ideas
Heimer vs Azir was a great match. My "Turns out it's Really Boring" List: Lux, Karthus Some I haven't tried that are probably CRAZY annoying + fun (depending on who's side you're on!): Amumu (5 Aoe Snares?) Fiddlesticks (5 bouncing silences? Can you ever cast anything?) Orianna (5 Shockwaves?) Anivia (the Walls and Zone Control my goodness) Galio (oh man, 5 chained flash taunting Idol of Durands?) Lissandra (i would hate to be against this, whoever's in front, prepare to get ulted over and over) Trundle (the pillars!!!) Soraka (wait, now you can heal each other......) Can't wait to try those!
: One for All - It's issues and how to solve them
Yeah, after playing a bunch, I kinda wish there was an option to just ff @ 10 cause sometimes you realize *after* you pick the champ that it turns out not be that fun when there is 5 of { insert champ here } , but you have to drudge through it for at least 20 minutes.
: One for All - It's issues and how to solve them
I think 10-15 minute surrender is appropriate

: Elise New Q Ideas
I did have another idea, but it's more of a rework level thing, where you could upgrade her like Kha, and chose different utility functions, and maybe you can only do 2 upgrades, unlike Kha that can choose 3. 1. Upgrade **Neurotoxin Q** to add Paranoia, **Venemous Bite** also does DOT 2. Upgrade **Volatile Spiderling W** summons 2 spiders instead of 1, **Skittering Frenzy **spiders have a shield or more hp or immune to physical or magic damage 3. Upgrade **Cocoon E** to slow target after stun, **Rappel** drops on enemy in .5 seconds instead of 1 when cast on enemy 4. Upgrade **Spider Form/Human Form** to reduce Cooldown (pre CDR) to 2 seconds If you can only pick 2 of the 4 upgrades, it's VERY interesting. Which ones? They all have interesting advantages.

: scorpions are insects so 6 legs
Apparently they are relatives of the Arachnid family: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scorpion, so 8 legs, Crabs on the other hand are "Decapod" or 10-legged. So I guess in both cases, the claws count.
: Damn! forgot about him, 2 legs or 6? legs, do the Claws count? Is it 8?
Damn and there is the battlecast skin, where he has no legs, only tank treads.... hmm.

: the movement speed item i can only see Hecarim MASSIVE abuse, so you may want to pre-maturely nerf the horse if you are to release this item since Hecarim is already a strong power pick and this item will just make him stronger
Totally, it should be that you can only buy this if you have 2 legs.
: Can you bring Murksphere over too?
PLEASE. I love Murksphere, it's the best support item ever.
: Just curious how you felt about the increased knocked up distance on his ult. I've always felt that it was pretty terrible for his synergy with other champion aoes. I always felt that it should be cut back a bit.
: The wrong direction of Zac buffs and what needs to be prioritized by Challenger Zac player
+1 Keep the increased Slingshot range, + these buffs, and he's back in action. Losing Magus was actually a big blow to Zac. Everyone talked Fidd being gutted, and while I am not Challenger, I preferred the Magus build over the Cinderhulk because it helped more with dmg and the 20% CDR helped get to 40% easier which is very helpful since he's 100% dependent on his abilities to be meaningful in the game.

: This is awesome. Drag-n-dropping rune pages to change order feature hopefully quite soon on the update train D:
PLEASE! I have to use a Java program called LolPageSorter to do this right now, which I am glad I found, cause I like my stuff in a particular order (can also reorder mastery pages)
: Well, part of not being able to change runes in champ select is to make you have to commit and separates casuals from serious af players.
I don't know if it's that, I think it's cause you have to buy rune pages. Mastery Pages are free, Rune Pages cost RP. If you could change the rune page in champ select, well then you wouldn't need to buy more Rune Pages, would you? BUT I can't imagine it's a huge sum of money. Maybe if you get all 20 pages, they can open the "Tweak" feature. I'd just love to be able to tweak runes slightly given the match up, since I have 20 Rune Pages, I've already spent the money.

: Yes, experience increases skill. But it is not the ONLY thing which increases skill, or else players with few games would have never been placed at your Elo. Basically you're saying that players aren't allowed to be good until they've played 150 Ranked games. Anyways, as far as I can tell your gripe is with the Placement system; if these players you faced were really at your Elo but so much worse than you, but didn't have more than 30 games, then that means they were placed within a divison or two of you to begin with, and obviously don't belong there. That's where the suggestion to start everybody at Bronze V comes in: placements have a great deal of weight on those 10 games, which means you could easily have a lucky streak and get placed far above where you belong. Starting from Bronze V forces people to play in games where they are far above everybody else's skill level (which you apparently don't care about) but means they have to demonstrate actual skill over a longer time to get to where they belong, without often appearing in games where they're below everyone else's skill level.
I agree, and it's happened 6 more times since our last posts. Every single time, 100%, the person with only 20 some ranked games has played miserably, things like playing support and no sightstone and getting crushed, or playing adc and can't cs, and gets crushed. I don't belong in my ELO but it's harder to get out when I lose 14 series in a row to this phenomenon. I literally have been keeping track since I started this thread. 14 series losses from B4 -> B3 and 90% of them were because I had players as teammates with < 30 games in Ranked who fed hard and then wanted to quit. I know this is a lower ELO problem, but it's a problem for player experience too. It sucks to be these players, they get hated on, yelled at, insulted. If they were playing with others with similar levels of experience, it might not be so harsh and mean. It's better for them, AND it's better for more experienced players trying to climb out of lower ELO ranks.
: I still maintain this is a matter of skill, not experience. If a player doesn't know the importance of CS, then they'll do poorly and usually lose games against players who DO know the importance of CS. However, this is not simply a matter of experience; you want to punish people who come into Ranked play already knowing the basics, while insisting that players who have played a lot of Ranked without learning anything are better than them. As for "bringing down the team" that's simply a problem you'll have to deal with in a team game, unless you go play Ranked 5v5 instead. Statistically, everyone should have those games where one player isn't at the right Elo, but they should also have equal chance of that player being on their own team and being on the other team; it evens out. A more reasonable suggestion in my mind would be to just skip the placement games and put everyone in Bronze V the first time they start Ranked. That would be the best option if your priority is "keep bad players down" rather than "ensure good players climb".
I don't disagree with you except for one point, that skill and experience are unrelated. It's widely known that the more you do something the better you get. Yes, you can plateau, you can hit a wall. It was observed more formally in business in the 1960's, it's called the Experience Curve. Basically what it means is that as you do something (manufacture something in a factory) you become better and more efficient at it, and therefore can do/make the same thing in less time and therefore your costs go down. The same works for skills: the more time you do something (practice tennis serves, cook hamburgers, play chopin on the piano, paint portraits, or cs with a champion), the better you will get at doing it. They made a video of practicing CS that they showed everyone in League by highlighting in the client, if you watch, just by practicing for 10 hours he went from 60% to 80% cs. So, experience is directly related to skill. This is what I am talking about. Someone with 600 Ranked games will have faced more challenges and had to deal with more situations and failed or succeeded than someone with 25 Ranked games. If there is an exception, it's an anomaly, an outlier, not the norm.
: First of all, that's not a logically sound argument, saying "this thing happened once, and I assume that this one statistic is the cause". I'm not trying to be rude, but one or even a few examples aren't enough to support changing the matchmaking system. Anyways, if the inexperienced player was really getting CONSISTENTLY crushed by every player with more experience, then his ELO would drop. Even with that single game, if you were at the same ELO before the game then you crushed him, then after the game you would gain ELO and he would lose ELO; the difference in skill is reflected in ELO regardless of whether that difference is caused by lack of experience or something else.
ELO is reflecting on individual skill level, but it's being SKEWED by these experience gap phenomenons. I believe strongly, that if experienced players matched against similar experience, these one-sided games might disappear and a lot of emotional frustration with Riot and Matchmaking and "BS" will also be reduced significantly. Inexperience has a lot of sides to it. It's inexperience in Champ Select with bans/picks, inexperience with a competitive environment, inexperience with competitive level warding, inexperience with importance of CS, exp, and efficient laning. In Teambuilder it's not the same, it's not as competitive and you can get away with a lot in normals that you can't in ranked.

Of course his ELO will drop, they almost always keep losing, but it's at the teams expense because of bad matchmaking strategy. Yesterday, while in series, on my team I get a midlaner on my team who has 5 ranked wins out of 25 total games. He's on a 15 game losing streak, we are currently the "same ELO" right? He only had 25 total ranked games. It was his first time trying TF in ranked, well he's only played 25 ranked games, so every champ seems to be a first for him. He got DESTROYED by his opponent, and I lost my series. He fed a Katarina, and she snowballed so hard that she was melting everyone cause she was 8-0 at like 10 mins. Yes, the jungler tried to help him, but he was no good at TF, no experience, so ganks failed, and Katarina got more kills and CS. We are in laning phase, I can't just go mid with Sivir, I will lose xp and cs while trying to do this, it's the first 10 mins. Plus Katarina has a Luden's echo already, if I go mid, she might just ult-kill me in a second. Of course the enemy jungler is laughing cause he now only has 2 lanes to worry about. So he could camp top and bottom easy, and Katarina could roam with him cause she was so far ahead, 3 v 1 top lane, 4 v 2 bot lane. **It all started with Experience playing vs Lack of Experience.** This is what I am saying. I destroy people with no experience, and obviously others do too. Yet we're in the same "ELO" only because they're still dropping, but at my expense because of how matchmaking works. It shouldn't be this way. **People should be queued up with others that have similar experience levels. It will make for BETTER MATCHES.** Yet another example of the same phenomenon over and over, it's happened to me on both sides at least 6 times now in 3 days, again, always in my Series which is odd, but I am telling you this is not about HIM LOSING ELO, of course he will, this is about the other players who have 200-400+ ranked games GOING DOWN WITH HIM.
: Never heard of that before. Maybe it's local? Or maybe it's used in certain circles, you mentioned stocks. Doesn't really matter, I just found it to be a confusing title. Thought you were talking about the League of Legends term Skins, as in cosmetic modifiers for your champions, and something about switching them during a match. Anyways, I'm not saying that Normal games are the same as ranked games, but in terms of this "skin in the game" thing you're talking about being invested. The only thing that is invested in League games is time, and while the actual content of Ranked and Normal games differs slightly they take about the same amount of time. I just don't see your logic in insisting that someone playing their first ranked games isn't invested when they've already spent so much time just to get there. The only point where Ranked vs. Normal experience makes a difference is in skill: Ranked games are different and require different strategies to win; somebody who just started Ranked might not know those strategies and thus will win less. If that's so, then they'll be placed in a low ranking and stay there until they improve. Some random luck might carry a player higher than they should have gone if they get a streak of lucky matchups, but in the long run if they're a bad player who makes bad decisions then they'll fall to an appropriate rank. If they're a player who trolls in a ranked game then they would also troll in Normal games, and thus should have been reported. The fact that they weren't only shows that people need to report more in Normal games.
Like I said I've played over 500 ranked games this season. I just played against someone with 25 ranked games in my lane, and **Completely Destroyed Him**. Wasn't fair, he has no experience. This is what I am saying. Not fair for the other team cause my experience vs his... We are "same ELO" but we are not the same experience.
: runes
I have a similar problem, my account also has crazy rune counts by having bought some of the PBE packs after buying runes myself. This was a long time ago, but I am in the same boat, doesn't break anything for me, but it's weird to see 35 quints of Ability Power or whatever I have.
: I don't think those things are really related. It is actually a very significant investment of time to even get to the point where you can play ranked games, so while you may feel like that troll has so little experience that he can get there without caring and then continue to not care, he actually has plenty of games that he had to go through even to get to that point. Also, "Skin in the game" isn't a phrase that makes sense to me. Where is that slang from?
Not sure the origin, it means you have "something at stake", it's used all over the place but more often in terms of money, meaning you have invested yourself in something. If you buy stock, you "have skin in the game", if you only watch stocks, you don't. It's not just money though, originally it was. I am not doubting the "normals" and getting to level 30. Everyone has to do that. I am talking about Matchmaking based on Ranked Game Experience. Someone with less ranked game experience will be matched with others with similar experience. There's no way you'll convince me that normals and ranked are the same experience or the same level of competition. Sure some normal games can be intense, but it's not the norm.
: So... Why are you on the PBE forums with this post..?
Because I think this is a good community, and I play PBE also. It's smaller and the boards less chaotic.

: Add Karthus to the junglers that nearly don't auto attack. Also, sometimes having Lichbane+80 AD is better for some mage. An exemple is if you are Diana, that you got ahead a bit, you may prefer to take Magus and Lichbane then take tankier items than taking Runeglaive+2 others AP items then taking tankyness. But that's all up to this player and how he wants to play. Also you should remove Azir from the list, as he can never almost never auto attack since he doesn't use auto attacks, his soldiers does.
Karthus can AA between Q's though, and Runeglaive actually does work for him, I tried it.

: Quick look at the New Runeglaive Enchantment
The difference between straight Sheen and Runeglaive is that Runeglaive is AOE, Sheen is single target. So it's actually doing a lot more damage than Sheen depending on how many champions/minons are around you.
: Feedback on the Elise/AP Jungle changes
I liked Runeglaive on Elise, helped a ton with waveclear too. New Elise kit changes are much better than where she is right now on live. One thing I thought might be interesting for her is for Rappel to act more like Akali, flip her to the Other side of the champion. This gives you more chance on the gank and forcing at least a flash. I know that Q gets you a bit closer, but I just liked the concept of having Rappel not be on the near side, but the far side of the champion you are targeting (likewise, if it's a minion it helps you escape further).
