: As a Taliyah Main, I disagree. No need to pressure and discredit the rioters for their hard work just because x champion didn't get a skin. Taliyah and all the other champions will eventually get skins. Business wise, Lux was a better choice than many champions because she fits in this skin line the best in terms of girls in shounen and because she makes money for the company. It is a business after all, and in order for etthe to make more skins, they need to make money and keep the business going. DO NOT worry Taliyah will get something when her time comes.

Business wise, it also makes sense to provide for neglected audiences and not just the mainstream. In fact, some of the best and long sustaining kinds of consumer loyalty are generated by companies who routinely provide to the neglected masses. Taliyah would have fit just as well as Lux, a champ that's not starving for options right now. Granted, Riot might not have made as much money with a Taliyah skin, but they certainly would have made Taliyah mains happy AND given hope to the other neglected champs on the list. That's never a waste of money for Riot, a company that still clings to this notion of being "for the players." > DO NOT worry Taliyah will get something when her time comes. I'm sure she will. But will it be Riot's best efforts to appease a long neglected fan base (1444 days as of his post) or will it just be something cobbled together to kill a meme and shut Redditors over on r/taliyahmains up? It's what happened with Arclight Yorick, a half-assed effort of a lazily conceived skin concept accomplished by inexperienced and rookie labor and released without fanfare as if the company was ashamed of it.
: PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Battle Academia Ezreal!
Another Ezreal skin... Great. It's just a differently colored Debonair coat and some flashy bells and whistles to make it seem legendary. :/ But do we really need more Ezreal and Lux skins a mere six months after Pajama Guardians came out? Of course, I can already read the response... >We hear you. It's just that Ezreal fit so well with the concept, we had to include him! Yep. That's because Ezreal is a generic concept (a bishonen/pretty boy) that can be crammed into everything. Same goes with Lux (a cheerleader), Katarina (an athlete), Ahri (a pretty tease), Evelynn (a seductress), and every other "fits so well" champ in league. Great job showing, once again, that anyone who plays a niche or less than popular champ isn't worth the effort from the skins team until it becomes a meme they can deal with and pretend to care about.
: PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Battle Academia Lux
Another Lux skin... Great. Another skin for a champ with so many other options already. Meanwhile, Taliyah continues to go without any Riot love beyond a "we can't sell this special skin constantly for reasons" Worlds skin that isn't supposed to count but apparently does. (No idea if this is a company lie or something that changed because of TenCent.) I can already see the generic, soulless Rito response, too. > "She fit so well with the theme we had to include her!" Of course she fits. Lux is a generic character concept (a cheerleader) that can be crammed in so many skin lines. She fit Lunar Revel for reasons. She fit Pajama Guardians for reasons... She even fits in Steel Legion, for heaven's sake... Same with Ezreal (Pretty boy bishie), Katarina (athlete), Ahri (teasing sexpot), Evelynn (actual sexpot) and other champs like this. I do miss the days where I mistakenly believed that Riot cared about those who played niche champs. That said, the skin on the PBE is fine, if a little samey compared to her other ones. But we really needed another Lux skin in a short anime skirt...
: Hey! I'm glad you found your way over here. :) • Yeah, you and I both know that this is something that we have limitations with. :c The idea here is that he's dressed up in a onesie, so we felt the VO worked, although, I can see where the lines with the Maiden are a bit more disconnected because she's...definitely a bit different. • I'll see if we can get more parity in the splash, I'll chat with the artis today. • I was honestly nervous about this one coming out because I know you're a huge Yorick main and weren't a fan of the last skin, but I'm glad that we made something that you're seemingly pretty happy with overall. :) • As for the chromas, another team tackles those, so I don't have too much context. I know he has them, but for specifics, I'd suggest hopping over into [this thread](https://boards.pbe.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/client-new-features-feedback/rHNKLH12-pbe-bugs-feedback-thread-april-foolos-chromas). Their devs have a bit more knowledge on the chromas!

As far as suggestions go: If the Maiden sounded like a big hissing cat instead of that Syndra-like voiceover and the ghouls just meowed and roared very loudly, it would help with the disconnect for me. I would be fine with having a Yorick conversing with a big kitty, since he's supposed to be crazy about them!
: [CLOSED] PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Meowrick!
Just played it. Initial thoughts: 1. **Old VOs don't fit with this theme** - I get that this is now set-in-stone Rito policy, but hearing the old voice lines come out of this Yorick and Maiden is really jarring. It sucks that, in order to play this skin properly, I'd have to shut the VOs completely off and imagine cutesy things coming out of them.. 2. **Splash Art looks out of place** - It looks like Trundle stole Taric's "pink Draven" cosplay! 3. **It's cute and playful, otherwise** - Yorick sitting on a Roomba a funny recall! 4. **Wondering about Chromas** - Is the neglected champ worthy of a few different color options or are we sticking with just the Deep RHPS Magenta?
: I have an honest question, how is it a cashgrab? the worlds pass is only 300 more RP than a normal skin. The skin is limited in availability but its 'price' is pretty normal, considering you get other stuff with the pass too.

The skin is limited in availability but its 'price' is pretty normal, considering you get other stuff with the pass too. I answered it below, but I'll reiterate here. World's Pass is US$12 for four skin shards, an icon, and 200 points. It also unlocks the ability to earn tokens through grinding. Assuming you can get ~300 tokens in the free missions (which may be a stretch), that's 500 tokens to start. **For Prestige Edition Kai'Sa, that means you have to grind for 2000 more tokens just for that skin (of which we don't know the end quality).** For some of us, that's a lot of grinding since we're not going to win every game we play much less get S-rank in every one! And this is a grind that Riot intentionally created with this event! What Riot didn't mention in the preview is that they have three ways to "alleviate" the grind in the store. A $2 package, a $18 package, and a $44 package with 20, 200, and 500 tokens apiece. (They also have "worlds orbs" that include random skin shards, to be completely honest). So, I can either spend money on the pass and hundreds of hours grinding away hoping to earn enough tokens to eventually get the skin, or I can spend more money to help "alleviate the grind" that Riot implemented. Oh, and get some random skin shards that I'd have to disenchant most of anyways acquire the essence to forge the ones I want. But Riot gets a mostly free pass because it's a genuinely free-to-play game and not something like FIFA 2019, Star Wars Battlefront 2, or Overwatch. (And please don't start with any "player choice" nonsense. It's been debunked a million times already by smarter people than all of us.) So, no. I will not be participating in this cynical cash grab from Riot and I will continue to call it such. :)
: How is it a cash grab? The Worlds Ticket is 1650 which is 300 more than an Epic skin (1350) and 170 less than a Legendary skin (1820) and gives you an Icon, 4 Worlds Orbs, 200 Worlds Tokens to get you started. That is a massive value for the small cost. Then yes, it takes 2500 tokens to get to the Prestige skin but it is a full skin, it's not a Chroma. They aren't going to make it something cheap and easy to get at, when they had to spend the time to make it, give it all the same features as the regular skin, plus a new splash and border. They are basically giving this skin away for free since it is gained through tokens rather than RP directly. Yet, there has to be some kind of money involved (the Worlds Pass) in order to get the chance to even build towards getting it.

: Oh yes you are correct. The purpose of that was to let players now that a larger prize was coming so that they would not spend their tokens early if they wanted to save them for it. But we didn't want to call attention to it early by properly announcing what it was before the other K/DA skins, so we didn't call out any features or exactly what it was at that point. This is the most complicated event we have done from the perspective of all the content involved, so we are doing our best but there are likely going to be lots of learning and improvements we expect to be able to make next time around.

You keep saying this like it's a soulless corporate mantra, so I'm going to address it. (Carlos, please understand that it's not directed at you but this current patch of Riot's Marketing team. Also, please bring this up with the Marketing team so they get this feedback.) Riot does this a lot when they make these sorts of things. You guys make huge events but with very painful and impossible goals, and you guys do it constantly as if you never really learned anything. • Pool Party Mundo was a promised free skin to everyone who participated in that event. However, it was intentionally made impossible without a vast majority of f2p players forking over large amounts of cash to gift skins. • Odyssey placed it's best rewards (possible skin lines) behind the efforts of other players without a proper solo queue environment. That was some of the worst experiences I have EVER had on League (I don't play Ranked because THAT much salt is bad for my blood pressure). (Those two are the biggest examples that come to mind, but there have been several others). Now this, an event where I'm not only paying a few dollars less than an outright legendary skin, but I have to grind hundreds of hours in both playing League and watching Worlds matches AND be good at predicting outcomes AND whatever other things I need to do just for a blonde Kai'sa skin with white pants along with a few icons. Frankly, I'd rather have had this Kai'Sa skin come out as a legendary than go through all those hoops and barrels. But it's okay, because Riot's going to learn for next time... just like they did the other times when they really didn't.
: Thanks for the feedback. We'll be monitoring feedback like this and performance to see if we need to adjust anything if we do more Prestige Edition skins. I believe it was only mentioned after the splash art was leaked. And we are announcing details with this post as it goes to PBE along with the rest of the K/DA skins being fully announced.

Incorrect, sir. In the "[Learn More: Worlds Season 2018](https://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/game-updates/special-event/learn-more-worlds-season-2018-event)" news post, this skin was called "Popstar Kai'sa" and was a very important part of the event. It was advertised BEFORE it was ready to be shown, leaks or otherwise. Not that it matters. I couldn't afford the Worlds Pass or the time it takes to acquire the tokens and I wouldn't support marketing tactics like this with my money.
: K/DA Kai'Sa Prestige Edition
Like I told the marketing team, this is too much of a cynical cash grab for me to put that much time and effort into. You guys even advertised the skin before it was fully ready, like certain other greedy AAA developers!

: Blood Moon Evelynn
RIP Urgot mains. Guess he's too niche and financially worthless for Riot.
: Hey, No dice with those specific interactions. With Swain being a 1350 RP skin, we couldn't go all out with a full blown VO script. However, we did take feedback to heart when we released Dragon Sorceress Zyra and heard feedback that having plant VO lines with a character controlling dragons felt weird. Removing them wasn't a viable option because she'd be left with so few lines, and getting a VA for a 1350 RP skin isn't viable scope wise. We had a unique opportunity to work alongside Champ Up and request some skin-specific VO lines for Swain. We felt that doing so would really encompass the Dragon Master thematic, as opposed to a Dragon Master just talkin' about birds. Back to your original point, we implemented 25 or so lines into this skin, and opted for some of the most general areas where you'd trigger these lines, vs small interactions. Most of the lines we added are for first moves, rallying the team (ahead or behind), and securing objectives; all of which you'd hear often, in every game. Our intent wasn't to kill a meme, albeit the result. Our goal was to deliver a highly suggested skin idea that'd been on the table for quite some time, and one that was ice boxed due to Swain's impending rework.

Our goal was to deliver a highly suggested skin idea that'd been on the table for quite some time, and one that was ice boxed due to Swain's impending rework. I'm going to be blunt. The reasons behind rushing this skin is secondary to the result. By getting this skin ready in one patch, your team avoided a lot of redundant memes and posts that would have infested every skin release announcement. Was there really a need to rush this skin out in the next patch, when the average wait time is over a year? What about that old line that reworked skins counted as new ones and a reworked champ doesn't need a new skin so quickly? But that's a side point. The main point is "How should Urgot players feel right now?" As of this post, Urgot is around 4 months away from breaking Yorick's "no skin" record. Rework or not, there's no excuse for this. If I was an Urgot main, I'd be furious at Riot for even getting this close when they could rush out a Swain skin so soon after the rework. As a Yorick fan, I can empathize with that anger, waiting all that time only to see more popular/hyped champs get all the attention while they sit off to the side being disrespected by the company and the skins team. I sincerely hope you guys have plans to do better for fans of Urgot and the other neglected champions, much better than you did for Yorick players.
: PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Dragon Master Swain!
The skin looks fine, but the color scheme is a little bland. Also, no special interaction with Shyvana or the elemental drakes? No, I'm more upset at what this skin tells fans of Yorick and Urgot, among others. This skin tells those neglected players that Swain mains are more important and more valuable to Riot than they are. Yorick had to wait more than a year for the bland, half-assed effort that was "Arclight Yorick," while Urgot may yet beat Yorick's unforgiveable waiting period since his last skin. Meanwhile, the team seems to have worked side-by-side with the rework group to get this skin out, just to kill a meme and avoid the "Dragon Swain where" comments. Not that what I say matters. Killing memes is still more important to Riot than it was in 2017.
: Your feedback seems fairly harsh. The skin itself is actually really nice. I waited two years to receive star guardian janna, which was the most horrid skin to see after a two year wait for quite a popular champion. You got a nice skin, on quite the unpopular champion. Count your blessings.

Count your blessings. Another "be grateful" comment? I am not a puppy. I am a man who waited six years for something that was worth the wait. I had high expectations, something Riot claims to want from their players. Unfortunately, Riot not only failed to deliver on them, they failed to even try. Carlos admitted as much. So no, I will not "count my blessings" because there weren't any blessings delivered here.
: Hi there Doctorpool, We spent a lot of time conceptualizing what Yorick's story is within the Arclight thematic. In this alternate universe, Yorick is a fallen king who has tragically lost his wife. There's a bit of a storytelling moment during his recall where we see Yorick honoring his deceased wife's memory, and then her spirit leads him upward. The idea here was to do a complete 180 from base Yorick, who is constantly being pulled down by dark forces. When he summons the maiden during his ultimate, this is his wife's spirit controlling the wraith. Yorick's wife (the wraith) controls Arclight magic as well, but she's still a tormented soul, and the story is not a particularly happy one overall. With this in mind, we thought the current VO served to tell that story well. However, it's really helpful feedback from you that you find the maiden's voice to be a disconcerting mismatrch. Do you have a different theme in mind that you think would have better served the default maiden VO?

With this in mind, we thought the current VO served to tell that story well. That story makes no sense whatsoever. This Yorick skin needs new VOs for both the shepherd and the Maiden. This Yorick should be wanting to be with his wife/maiden and she should be refusing him, saying his work isn't finished. The lines used for other spells and effects don't make sense, either. What about Arclight Yorick's wall "reaches out for you?" I have to ask: Did the desire or pressure to get a skin released for Yorick in this specific cycle lead to giant compromises in quality? Carlos already admitted that the 6 year wait meant nothing to the team, but are you suggesting that this weak and lame story led to the decision to NOT go after a new VO and give Yorick fans something better than a half-assed effort? > However, it's really helpful feedback from you that you find the maiden's voice to be a disconcerting mismatrch. Do you have a different theme in mind that you think would have better served the default maiden VO? Not going to play this game. : Hi TerraRaising, Thanks for the feedback and sorry this skin didn't hit the mark for you. I am the main Producer for this skin. We felt internally after looking at multiple concepts and explorations that this was the coolest idea for Yorick we could execute on right now. Particularly because the thematic pushed into the more 'angelic' and godly particles in the arc-light thematic feel so different from base Yorick. A lot of times when we make skins, we look for making something unique for players of that champion. Our goal was never to make a skin that was worth '6 years of wait time' I think that would be impossible for us to do. I mean I think we have maybe one person left in the skins team that has been around for that long. Instead we did our best to give Yorick players something different from what they have in the skins catalog and that was a unique fantasy for Yorick vs base and his other skins, so we tried our best. Now that we have the champ-up team full force updating champions that either have outdated abilities or visuals I feel more confident that we won't go another 6 years without a Yorick skin or leaving any champion forgotten for that long. Which skin idea would you have liked to see instead? I love the cat lady Yorick fan concept, but we felt going with a more serious skin was the right approach for his first skin in so long. Thanks! Carlos
One other question: Why does this skin have to be released in this specific cycle? Why can't you guys pull this skin, get a VO done that properly matches the feel and aesthetics of this skin, and make it better for us long suffering Yorick fans?

And you created a skin that works better without the current voice and sound effects pack. This Yorick worships his Maiden, yet he resists when she's cast? She should sound angelic or melodious, but she sounds like a smoker with a tracheotomy. These mist walkers should sound eager to fight, not like hissing half-creatures. The wall should be angelic, not a repeat of Yorick's back thing with some star particles. This is not the team's best effort. If Ahri, a champ with 12 different skins, can get a legendary after all her incarnations, Yorick should have received a legendary after six years. Instead, he gets below average work that you claim is your best? If this was your best effort, why try to hide it with a goofy Singed skin and three other skins for champs who have plenty of other options? Why not release it as a stand alone? > Now that we have the champ-up team full force updating champions that either have outdated abilities or visuals I feel more confident that we won't go another 6 years without a Yorick skin or leaving any champion forgotten for that long. I played it several times with KT and other Rioters and nothing ever comes from it. No one on the team responds to any suggestions and it feels pointless to try. Still... What should have happened is an Ultimate level skin where Yorick transforms into one of several new skin concepts (Arcade, Pool Party, Project, . Make it truly legendary. Put some real effort into this skin and not some throwaway effort just to get the champ off your checklist and to stop a few memes? But, in the end, nothing I say will matter. I am just another fool who spent $2000+ in RP, cosplayed more than a dozen champs and skins (including the reworked Yorick) and believed that Riot really was a company that cared about all their players. I was an idiot.
: [CLOSED] PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Arclight Yorick!
@RiotKateyKhaos and all other Rioters reading this: I wrote this before I had a chance to read your statements on other people's posts. Based on those statements, I don't believe anything will change because of this. You guys are hell bent on releasing this skin, taking Yorick off your checklist and getting the memes to stop. It makes me sad to know that my belief that Riot was a different kind of company was a complete lie by a soulless corporation. Still, I did promise I would write this and here it is. - - - - - I have typed this response several times. Every time, it gets too angry and emotional and I have to delete it and start over. My main problem with this skin is that the Classic VO and SFX clashes completely with the aesthetics of the new skin. In the new recall, Arclight Yorick seems to worship the maiden. This is, by far, the best part of the new skin along with the new song. Yet, when she's summoned on the map, it's the same old “couple in conflict” with Yorick refusing the Maiden's constant offers. With the aesthetics and feel of this skin, the opposite should be true. This version of Yorick should be trying his enter his maiden's embrace and win her affection while she should be the one telling him to get more souls and that his job isn't finished. This disconnect extends to the abilities, all of which have lines that make no sense with the new spell particles. In particular, this happens when Arclight Yorick casts his wall and he says "they reach for you," yet there's NOTHING in the spell that is remotely reaching for anyone when that spell is cast. The mist walkers also hiss and move like clunky armored half-humans when they should be shouting in triumph and leaping into battle like little warriors wanting their maiden's embrace again. They should also be brighter than the dull translucent blue-gray they currently are. Side note: One of the available Mist Walker's helmets should be a gold version of Helmet Bro's. Like one out of every four Mist Walkers should have that specific helmet. It also feels like there was a lot of recycling of old parts used in making this skin. Arclight Yorick's wall effect looks like Poppy's wall, with four of the things on Yorick's back circling it and a few stars. The spell indicator is recycled from Classic Yorick. Also, was King of Spades Mordekaiser's mace put on the top of Arclight Yorick's shovel? It also appears that some leftover "Championship" leaf/wing designs were used for the back thing, and the shovel head. Additionally, the lack of contrast between this Arclight Yorick's face skin and his white beard makes it look like you took Galio's head (with the gold crown) and transplanted it onto this model's body. The white vest also looks like Bard's scarf and the maiden's face on all the accessories looks like a recycled doll face mask from Party City. All in all, it feels like below average work, something that shouldn't be worthy of Riot Games much less for long suffering Yorick fans. Then again, that's probably the exact sort of treatment we should expect from this company. - - - - - If I were to make any suggestions about this specific skin, they would include the following: 1) Pull the skin for 4-6 months and make it legendary. We've waited more than six years, so what's another few months to make it truly awesome? Spare no expense and get a VO and sound effects that match the new skin. If you can't get the original voice actors for Arclight Yorick and the Gold Maiden, hire new ones. Hell, they both should sound different than the Classic ones, since they're roles are completely reversed. Side Note: As a thought exercise last night, I wrote about 200 lines that would fit the new skin and it's new aesthetics. I really wish I could send them to you, but you guys don't accept outside creative content and that makes me sad. 2) Improve the aesthetics of the model. The white vest with the gray undershirt looks like way too many layers. I'd have a hard time cosplaying that look, especially with all the extra armor. Also, the skin on Yorick's face is too close to the white of the beard and it looks like Galio's head and crown. Give this Yorick a tan and blend the outer vest with the inner tunic. 3) Make the Mist Walkers less evil looking and sounding. Make them look more like humans eagerly leaping into battle and shouting to get back to their Maiden. Make the wall more lively, like a group of angels in a Renaissance painting. Recycling the back emblem three times in a circle seems lazy. 4) Thicken the gold mist behind Arclight Yorick's new back thing. It kinda looks like it's peeing on the Rift. (By the way, what is that thing called?) 5) Change the top of Arclight Yorick's shovel to look like something other than King of Spades Mordekaiser's mace. Make the shovel more substantial than just a pair of wings and a small doll face mask. - - - - - I also have several other questions about this skin and the team behind it. I really wish you or SuperCakes would address these if only to confirm my suspicions. 1) Was the six-year wait since Yorick's original launch taken into consideration when making this skin? Does the skins team regard Yorick as a one-year old champ due to the rework? Was this just a "Let's stop the memes" or a "Let's take Yorick of the checklist" effort? Was Arclight Yorick made with love or with cynicism and contempt? This is, without a doubt, the saddest thing about this skin. It feels like, instead of trying to make something truly awesome and reassure Yorick fans that they're years of suffering from the company and the community was not in vain, you guys just said "meh, here's what we got and let's go with it." If your team is proud of this skin, why not release it on it's own like you guys did for Eternum Cassiopeia? Were you hoping the community would be distracted by that silly Beekeeper Singed skin to care? 2) Meddler released a dev blog a few weeks ago saying that some skins will not have new VO lines or SFX because of reasons. Did the Skins team ask Meddler to post this to help soften the blow of disappointment for this skin in particular? If so, that's about as cowardly and they come. It's like you guys said "We don't want to take the heat for this decision, so let's have someone else in another department deliver the bad news for us!" I mean, Star Guardian Syndra suffers from the same problem, but she has half a dozen skins to choose from. Yorick only has his launch skins from six years ago. Surely, this team could have put more love than they did. Six years makes Yorick a truly "special snowflake," deserving of the best effort possible and not a rush job. 3) How many members of the team are Yorick players? Does anyone on that team understand the pain that Yorick players have gone through these past six years? Are they all new players/employees without that baggage and just made a skin without any care or love for Yorick? 4) What happens next for Yorick? Let's not kid ourselves. You guys will ignore these criticisms and release this skin with the next patch. You'll sell it for 1350 RP, get the numbers back in two weeks, and tell yourselves "We tried, but they didn't buy the skin." and that will be the end of that. No more skins for Yorick, because they don't make any money for a corporation whose "for the players" message is a half-truth at best. Then again, you may take this criticism, still release the skin with all these problems, then come up with with some soulless corporate line of "we've learned lots of lessons with the skins in this cycle and we'll try to do better for other long suffering champs in the future." But that doesn't change the fact that there are a number of Yorick fans who feel betrayed by the skins team and Riot for the lack of care or effort in this cycle. But what happens next? Will the skins team give up on making skins for Yorick? Will there be another six-year wait, if League survives that long, before the team gets around to making another skin? What about the other long suffering champs, like Urgot and Singed? Will you guys really try to make the effort or will you just say "Screw it and screw them?” It's a long post, but this is how I honestly feel about Riot and the skins team at the moment. Yorick fans really do deserve better treatment than this since no other group of League fans have suffered from the community and Riot itself as long as we have. I hope at least one of you had the integrity to read this. You may have failed Yorick players, whether they know it or not, but you should be able to accept your failures.

I mean {{champion:83}} is for sure. Jezus. "Grateful?" I'm sorry, I'm not a puppy looking for a bit of attention. I am someone who had high expectations from this team after six years of waiting. I am also someone who has had numerous conversations about Yorick with Rioters, in person and on social media, over these six years, all of whom told me that I "need to be patient and the wait would be worth it." What they gave was, at best, an average effort with an overused concept. If you like this skin, by all means like it. But don't tell me to be "grateful" when I was told by Riot that the skin would be worth the wait and they failed to deliver on that.
: [CLOSED] PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Arclight Yorick!
The concept itself is underwhelming, especially after a six year wait. I was hoping for something truly epic, something that was worth that wait, but all I see is Riot's average effort: Overused concept with decent execution. Maybe my standards and expectations were too high, but I can't help but feel that this team never took the wait into consideration and just wanted the memes to die. This makes me sad. I'm now convinced that the whole "for the players" line is just an empty corporate slogan and Riot is just like any other AAA publisher, looking to line their pockets through Ahri and Ezreal skins, rather than do right by their long suffering fans. :(
: Update on Sewn Chaos
It's sad that these skins didn't meet Riot's "standards of quality," but when are we getting a Yorick or Viktor skin? Hell, is the skins team going to even try to make the next Yorick skin worth the nearly 6 year wait since his first two at launch?
: So far, Ryze and Sona will be the only disabled champs ^^
> [{quoted}](name=Riot Stephiroth,realm=PBE,application-id=cMKtzQHY,discussion-id=PTI6tmE1,comment-id=00010001000000000000,timestamp=2016-09-15T19:06:46.388+0000) > > So far, Ryze and Sona will be the only disabled champs ^^ I know I'm harping on this a lot, but I've not received a satisfactory answer. Fizz is just ridiculous in this mode, given that he has one move that makes him impossible to hit, does aoe damage on completion and sets up the rest of his combos with an insanely short cooldown that he can repeat until you die. This move also allows him to dive towers with no fear of dying, so nothing is safe from this little annoying thing... Why in the world is this champion allowed to exist on URF, especially in a mode that does not allow for proper counters? What justifies him being allowed on this mode and not banned like Sona and Ryze??
: We will be disabling Sona and Ryze for the mode when it goes live, however those are the only ones that we determined too egregious. The randomness should actually help with some of these OP champs, because a lot of them are only OP in tandem with other OP champs. Sometimes you'll get rekt by RNG, but most of the time we hope it'll be a fairly balanced game :) We'll also be monitoring the data over the weekend, and if a champion becomes out of line, we'll disable it.

It's almost impossible to get anything to land on Fizz, given how many times he can spam his E.
: All Random URF for the RGM queue now live for testing on the PBE
There should be a full round of bans, like one per player, before the random pick kicks in. That way, we're guaranteed that some of the way "feels way too overpowered" champs that thrive in URF, like Sona, Fizz and Zed, are played less than others. Otherwise, you're going to have situations where the game is decided by pure chance and players are feel like they're wasting their time having a game they have no chance to win.
: Back to basics obvi :P Hehe. But no, last time it was due to a bad interaction with the Xerath Ascended buff that would cause game crashes. But yeah. :( It's really sad that he's broken. We are definitely trying to fix him :) Just not sure we can for this time.

But no, last time it was due to a bad interaction with the Xerath Ascended buff that would cause game crashes. > IIRC, it was that if Yorick ulted himself, died, then his clone ascended, Ascended Xerath would never respawn. Now, I don't remember where I heard this, but I was told that there were problems with both Yorick and Karthus that two different designers were trying to fix independently. One would get fixed in one iteration, the other in another. In the end, Karthus won and Yorick was disabled when his bug was found. FWIW, you better prepare Latency for this revelation because he's going to tank a lot of crap when this round gets released. New Yorick is the new hotness and some players are going to be pissed if he's disabled.
: Hey Yorick Mori! Sorry about the issues :( tbh we should've disabled him for a bit, but we overlooked it. However, we found lots of bugs thanks to the reports from PBE and are working on fixing them :D Unfortunately, since he's very complex, we're unsure if we're going to be able to enable him for this release of Ascension. :( thanks for the report!

Yorick had to be disabled in order to get Karthus enabled.
: Ascension is now enabled for 6.19 testing
So... after years of Yorick being an outlier for champion creation (every champ since the Gravedigger's original release needed to be worked around his Ult) and being buggy as all hell... Riot's RGMQ Team introduces him to a new game environment and... he's causing gameplay bugs and issues that the teams need to figure out. {{sticker:slayer-jinx-unamused}} Wonderful.
: I'm not gonna lie, I've been playing Yorick a little bit, and more than anything, I feel like he's hilariously strong when played effectively. Maybe I just understand his strengths better, but I just seem to have a hard time justifying the buffs to him. 1. Even when fighting 3 enemies, unless they all jump on me at exactly the same time and cc me into oblivion, I seem to either not die and escape, or I kill at least one, or probably 2 of the enemies. 2. I LIKE the lack of control over the Walkers and Maiden, maybe I'm the only one, but I just see them as "add pressure to this lane" buttons on my keyboard. 3. His sustain is absolutely ridiculous. I remember seeing a comment in this thread, with someone complaining that his sustain was absolutely trash, but clearly they never tried building him with {{item:3146}} and {{item:3065}}. It's quite frankly ridiculous when combined with Biscuits mastery and Runic Shield. You can't really bully me out of lane, even a pantheon with ignite was unable too, and because his manapool doesn't really drain (I pretty much always {{item:3025}} first item), I feel like my health bar is never ending. He could probably use a nerf, at least when played at his best, because he really stands out incredibly hard for me compared to other juggernauts. Maybe I just like minionmancing.

I have to ask this question, and it might be very stupid, but here goes. Is there a hard and fast deadline that Yorick MUST be released in 6.18 in whatever state he's in by the end of the cycle? Would it be possible to let him soak in the PBE for two more weeks before it's released? I mean, we won't be seeing Yorick at Worlds anyways. Is this team that eager to get started on the next champ that they'd leave Yorick with so many unresolved issues?
: Yorick Update Feedback Thread
>8/30 Experimenting with W Health bars. Feedback is greatly appreciated. We're trying out a health bar at the bottom to lower the probability that it will be obscured by the enemy's health bar. How weird is this and do you feel it's something you can get used to? I would feel better if Teemo didn't one-shot a wall with his poison...
: Yorick Update Feedback Thread
There should be some sort of scaling on the Q. Not sure if Life Steal or Death's Dance is something something Yorick would benefit from, though.
: Yorick Discussion **Open Discussion for Everyone's Opinions!**
The lore is cheesy, the look is too goth (looks like the Ministry of Darkness Undertaker) and there's nothing left of the old champ. Also, the minions are too stupid for this to be considered a minion mage (Malzahar's minions are better in almost every aspect). It's like Riot really just wanted to get this rework done and not give players a viable reason to play it.
: Yorick Update Feedback Thread
Is Teemo's poison supposed to be able to one-shot Yorick's wall? Doesn't seem fair that his poison damage can do that.
: Yorick Update Feedback Thread
The lack of control over the mist walkers is really bugging me. Yorick may be a shepherd, but shepherds have to have control over their flocks, lest they lose their charges and their jobs. At this point, Yorick should just be called the "Abuser of Souls," since he doesn't get much use out of them. Another thing, he certainly isn't going to be useful in a team fight. Also, if the live team decides that split pushing is not something they want to support, Yorick will become **completely** useless (even more so than on live since he can't transition to Jungle or Support). Maybe minions could be programmed to stick to Yorick and attack what he does instead of running off towards parts unknown... I mean, and I said this earlier, what good is a minion mage if they can't control their minions? I might has well be playing Malzahar or Annie for all the good these minions are going to do. And why should Yorick's Q cost more and be weaker than Nasus?
: Apologies if it sounded like I was laughing at you, that was definitely not the intent. The joke (maybe executed poorly) was supposed to be about how we would be really happy if only one person disliked the update (since to some degree, updates by their very nature will make devotees angry) -Auto speed is on par with other juggernauts, it is intended to feel slow and weighty -Agreed and in the works -Fair criticism, and a tradeoff we decided to make on taking this direction. We wanted to portray Yorick as more of a 'shepherd' rather than someone who exhibits iron control over his minions -If that is happening would be a bug / client desynch -Not intended to scale with items, but to allow for some small optimizations/ usage of certain buffs/ fun builds -We will update them sometime around when we go live Thank you and again, very sorry if I offended you with my dumb joke!

We wanted to portray Yorick as more of a 'shepherd' rather than someone who exhibits iron control over his minions But, shepherds do have control over their flocks. If they didn't, they wouldn't have a flock. In this instance, Yorick should be called the "User of Lost Souls" if his minions can't be tamed. > Thank you and again, very sorry if I offended you with my dumb joke! Honestly, I'm more offended that there's **nothing** left of the original champion for me to hold on to (tragic lore to very grim-dark/emo goth lore, that he looks like the WWE Undertaker, all his minions look the same, there's way too much black . I'm also more offended that the team didn't bother making a "Traditional" skin since so much of the old champ was discarded and thrown out for this new one. And hell, I take that laughter as proof that having faith in Riot was a very bad idea. :/

Before I say anything, as the "One Yorick Fan" who said on the Twitch stream that he didn't like the rework, thanks for laughing at me. Really classy, sir. :/ That said, what I discovered in my game (custom game vs bot): * The auto attack animation feels very slow and way too easy to cancel. * The Q attack needs some indicator when it's safe to do the attack-reset. It also feels like a weaker and more expensive version of Nasus's Siphoning Strike. * Having such little control over the Mist Walkers and the Maiden goes against what a minion mage should feel like. Why would I play Yorick when I can play Malzahar? * I'm not sure if this is intentional, but I've walked through several of my opponent Yorick's W as Ziggs. (We had a Yorick on our team as well, though). * Why is there AP scaling on Yorick's new E? * All of the video previews in his champion section are of the old Yorick.
: Asc Changes now on PBE for Testing
Just had a game with the new rules. Initial thoughts: 1) Tanks are WAY too powerful in this revised mode, thanks to armor and magic pen being almost worthless. Even if a team manages to kill Ascended Xerath [AX], all an opposing tank has to do is survive long enough for someone on their team to take the relic, if not themselves if they have an AOE damage ability (Sunfire Cape and Abyssal Rod, for instance). My one game involved the opponents having a Braum, Mundo, Singed, Amumu and Malphite and just doing whatever they wanted to us. 2) Removing the ability to snipe removes those memorable climax moments (had a game in the first run of Ascension where I sniped the final Xerath to win). I'm also concerned about this line... > * I’m generally fairly happy with this change in all cases. Unless I’m missing something, would probably keep this in regardless of how the Xerath change feels. I mean, why give a chance to give feedback if you've made up your mind that this is where you want this mode to go?

: Whichever team kills the nexus in the shortest amount of time wins. If in the first round a team takes 15 minutes to kill the Nexus (e.g. 5 minutes remaining on the clock) we change the timer in the second round to **start** at 15 minutes. If the second team kills the nexus at all (e.g. any time remaining on the clock), it means they beat the first team's time and they win. If the second team fails to do so, it means that any time they would have taken to kill the nexus was longer than the first team's, so the first team automatically wins at that point. We are definitely doing a bad job of messaging this in game (as in, not at all). You'll need a lot more than a "bit more announcement" to explain this mode. Not knowing what the rules were meant a waste of time for my teammates. Maybe that's my fault, but a game mode should have clearly explained rules or be intuitive, and this mode has neither right now. Honestly, I'd let this mode soak for a few months while you get your stuff together, then put it out on live.

Good news: Got in a game. Bad news: First "sign-in" was after 30 minutes with four dodges (probably a total of 45 minutes before an actual game started.)
: Damn. :/ I'll see if we can switch off something today to quickly funnel pop and test it. Thanks for trying!

Thanks for trying! Well.. It's 9:27 pm and after patching the client, went into an ARAM queue. 30 minutes and counting. Edit: Gave up after an hour and two minutes. I'll try again tomorrow, I guess.
: Champion Mastery in ARAM/TT live for testing on PBE
I have a problem finding ARAM games on the PBE to test this and the new map changes on. Last night, I was in an ARAM queue for nearly 45 minutes before I gave up.
: [Update] VFX Clarity Changes on Skins
What about skins like Underworld Twisted Fate and Steel Legion Lux?

That coffee cup looks like a roll of toilet paper. It needs a Riot logo on it, or something like that.
: There was a bug (heh), where some audio was missing. This should be resolved with the next build.

This should be resolved with the next build. I'll have to "insect" these changes when I see them. I don't want to app-Roach this the wrong way.

Are the voice clips connected to the skin? I tried to tell his joke during a bots game earlier today, but I couldn't hear it (all the sounds were turned on and working except K6's voice.
: Hextech Annie, crafting and gemstones
I'd love to see a "Hextech Zyra" and a "Natural Heimerdinger" as possible crafting skins. I'm also concerned about the amount of RP that would be needed to acquire Hextech Annie through this method, since RiotSocrates has said that skin chests would only be available through RP.
