: Irelia's VGU skins feel rushed/low priority. What do you think?
After seeing that aviator Irelia concept my only issue with the skin is the fur on her shoulders. I like the concept's fur color, shape and stylized position a lot more. Also now that beautiful tri-blade insignia on her shoulder is hidden... Comon Riot...
: what about to delete all the fur, even that fur in her hands and create a tight dark blue suit how she was.
I updated the post with another design that matches the original frostblade irelia design . Would love to get your take on it!
: Hmm no, the updated one looks much better than the old one with her ugly bugged fur collar and I doubt they will touch her again. But I agree with you in some points about her being monochromatic, maybe some tweaks in her hair or even in her clothes putting more purple in her sleeves as they did in the updated splash art.

: Here I thought you were finished with retouch magic and you go even a step further. I already added it there. you Cna find at at story, art, concept section (or something like that). From the back view I'd definitely prefer this version over no collar. But I'd prefer more purple in hair especially above the fur. But that might be just me or perhaps it would feel a bit different with actual 3d model. Good job buddy. Now let your friends in Riot now because I have none ;-). EDIT: Overall I'd push blades saturation a bit down so it fits better the skin and doesn't feel so intrusive and then it's perfect.

: First off, you're absolutely right about the blue hair. The color changes left the entire skin lacking any solid form of contrast and it definitely hurts the skin more than it helps fix it. Personally I only ever had a problem with the fur parts, because it gave the skin a glamorous, "diva-ish" quality that just didn't resonate at all with the original presentation of the skin. Secondly, losing the fur on the back does give the skin a more slender quality to it. I would argue that this is an incredibly good thing, since the new irelia isn't supposed to be defined by her bulkiness or how imposing she is. It's more defined by the flow of her movement. The gigantic fur looked incredibly unbalanced, and it flowed against her movement rather than with it. In all of Irelia's other skins she has long hair and I think the fur was added as a replacement for that, but the hair is involved in all of her animations to accentuate the movement of her blades. If you look at a frame by frame analysis of them you can see what i mean, the hair moves either closely in front of, or closely behind her blades. The fur, in contrast, doesn't do that. It's a static piece of clothing that jiggles sometimes when she dashes around. It's really bad. Also I'd just like to point out, in what world is fur armor? Fur like that is decorative, not protective. Maybe it protects against the cold, but not against a sword, or a spear or a bolt of fire or something. I agree that the first iteration was definitely the most creative and balanced, and that the coloration there was stunning. The reason people didn't like it wasn't because it wasn't creative though. It's because it wasn't faithful to the original concept that this would be taking the place of. And when this happens to a skin that was arguably the best skin available for a champion (and not just because there was a big butt attached to it), I think people have every right to be upset. As is it's still barely fitting the bill. There was nothing generic about the "spiky icicle blade, cryocore" Frostblade Irelia. And I still don't understand why anyone at Riot thought it was a good idea to take that fantastic concept and trash it, when they didn't do anything like that for her other skins.

: I see. I guess yo uare right. The front look should suffice ;). I still think this is a better compromise from what reddit/boards pushed riot to create. But hey perhaps next week will show something new again. Btw I don't think you need an account for na region to post on their board. Just log in to your usuall area and after that change in address bar the area part (so go to na.boards) or just go straight to na.boards log in and pick eu west for your account, it will log you in anyway. So far I posted it there too but just a heads up for next time.
Thank you. I updated the post with a back view as well! :) You can add it there if you'd like also I'd love to get a link.
: Oh that actually looks nice. But do you have a back view? I think the back view was the most problematic, the front view was pretty nice. So far this would be pretty good (maybe more purple in her hair? xD). If there is someone with twitter acc to responsible people, tweet them. PM them. Throw an avalance of messages at them and let give me a link so I can join you!
I'll try to get a back view. The front view took some time getting the hair and fur to look nice. I just don't know if it's worth it... So far the response on reddit hasn't been the most positive mostly around the fur. It seems like they absolutely don't want to hear about it even if it's just a tiny sliver of what it used to be.
: Can you add it to na.boards as well or should I? Perhaps even irelia reddit would like to see it.
I only have an EUW account. If you can post it it would be great! I posted it on the main reddit. I'll try on Irelia mains as well.
: I'm saying the same thing for a while now too. Current iteration is a huge downgrade. Purple tones added interesting color balance, fresh air if you want to call it that way. I didn't like the initial fur collar wrap because it made her look like karma too much and was too eye catching but with a first tweaks it got better and if the size was slightly adjusted down to it would turned really good. Right now the skin is a mis-mash. If there is anyone from Riot reading this post and got here, guys don't jump to conclusions so quickly, you are professionals, color balance is not something majority of players even knows what it actually means. The whiteish huge fur colar as en element was stwisting the perception of colors. Right now it's just a bland school girl not a cool warrior.
I updated the post with images. Would love to get your take on it!
: The problem with the fur is that it's too bulky.. I really wish It could stay, but be shrunk to a more reasonable size.

: Hey Riot I got a solution for you. Give us toggle for the fur. It's a 1350RP skin. I want my fur! {{sticker:slayer-jinx-unamused}}
Man I'd love that too but it's really unlikely to happen... They put toggles only on head gear.

Thank you for the long and detailed response. I can see a lot of thought was given to it. Yes Indeed they used the fur to balance the silhouette taking the place of the hair. I would forfeit the fur on the back seeing as most people I talked with didn't appreciate it. Fur can actually be used as protective gear, There's usually animal skin under it and when it's thick enough it can be pretty effective against general cuts, knife stabs and bruises and as extra padding when you fall or get hit. And it is light. Also this is a fantasy world so it would be a good armor in this world. :) I definitely see your point about the new concept not being faithful to the old concept. The reason I don't mind it is I never owned the original frostblade skin because I really didn't like the execution of her in game appearance. They did a really good job overall with the new design and it resonates with me a lot more. But I understand people feeling a bit cheated because it's not the design they paid for. Still if they can embrace the change they'd be getting more value overall in my opinion. At this point it is very unlikely Riot would scrap the whole design for something that would better reflect the old one.

: Honestly I really don't like the skin. The crown is so big compared to her head and the blade looks really weird _lol_. My opinion is they should make her look like her base skin, like remove the blue body suit and make her show some skin. Also, her hair should be more darker & make the crown a little smaller to move it back so she can look like a princess idk just ranting here. I main this champ and i would love to see this skin to be her best :)
I definitely agree with the crown being too big. I did a quick edit in photoshop to illustrate what I think would look better. My edit is not perfect there are still areas where the general face and crown could be improved but I wanted to deliver an idea quickly. http://i.imgur.com/XVMfv0w.png
: Sivir skin
The problem with it is her face looks really bad and that crown thing is way too big. I would like to see more of her face in game but the face sucks.
: PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Gentleman Gnar!
Has anyone else noticed Mega Gnar's hat becomes a decagon shape instead of round like in Mini Gnar?
: OBVIOUSLY not everyone is shit, but that part of the community still remains a minority, 3-4 players out of how many? By all means, go ahead, gift people, i couldn't care less about what you spend your money on, but last i checked these were forums, where people put their feedback, i see this idea as useless, people will act nice in hope for a gift, what are we, 12? Toxicity will still exist. And just because my opinion is different than yours, doesn't make it "worthless", you can fuck off right there, don't bother replying, i'm not giving this discussion any more of my time.
if you really cared so much and wanted other players to stop being "shit" you should look inwards and change yourself first. toxicity breeds toxicity. your behavior here only exemplifies it.
: TL:DR I dont like it. Akali is a champion with 3 dashes, that can gain additional charges, she doesnt need an ability that increases her movement speed, she has enough ability to chase as it is and if played well enough ability to escape not to mention it already slows enemies that enter the area. Her invisibility is used primarily to stall for time, waiting for cool downs and letting her teammates catch up, she needs to be able to take damage from skill shots while invis and needs her MR + Armor boost it used to give her. The movement speed decays and doesnt even last for the full time she is in her shroud which means that she doesnt even get to really take advantage of the movement speed. This was a flat out nerf to a champion that is easy to counter with one of the cheapest items in the game, Vision Wards, Oracles Lens, and Upgraded Warding trinket. For a simple 475 it makes fighting akali easy, she cant count on her invisibility to make dodging skill shots easy, and now she has no increased MR + Armor to try and at least take the damage during a trade. Akali has an very weak pre-6 game, and her damage is not much higher than most mages after 6. Those that are smart enough to spend the early money on a pink ward/ oracles trinket, quickly push her back and force her to hide under tower even after 6. Giving her move speed doesnt make it any easier for her to catch people, nor does it make it that much easier to get away.
My brother who is currently master on eune and plays Akali almost exclusively since season 1 with well over 2k games on her would agree.
: The only thing I believe shyvana really needs to be viable is to have her ultimate be un interruptable. It feels silly that a giant dragon is soaring at you to only get flayed, tornado'd or any of the other many cc's there are in the game. Those on top of all the slows and counter ultimates just makes her not worth having.
That was exactly the suggestion I wanted to make. I think shyvana is fine the way she is for the most part but being cced and denied your one gap closer is really annoying. it is also really easy to stop her because she is so big and moves so slowly. they should either make the animation time much faster or make her immune to cc during it.
: Everyone will agree with this. I don't think I'm going to buy it unless they refine the skin, and that definitely includes putting a IV on it... and reducing those clown-shoe style claws on her feet.
Hijacking for visibility! As a big fan of Shyvana myself, I was looking forward in anticipation for her new skin as I didn't like any of her previous skins. Hopefully I might be able to have impact on the design of this one. I love the color scheme you have chosen but I really don't like the size and position of her headdress/helmet. it looks really silly. I would love to see a change to the helmet similar to the image I attached to this message. While I do like her bulkiness which is unique within her skins selection(and fits with my preference for a more tanky dragon lady) As many had already mentioned her claws are a tad too big at the moment. I don't think heels are very practical for a female dragon warrior but I can appreciate the reason you gave her them, it puts her feet in an angle similar to the way a dragon would have hes feet. in my opinion the solution you had in Ice Drake Shyvana where you gave her shoes a platform sort of thing is interesting. Also Shyvana has no time to deal with broken heels guys... as was mentioned before the claws on her shoes look out of place and almost clownish when viewed from a side angle. I like their front and upper view though. maybe reduce their size? the leather texture on her legs beneath the armor looks unrefined and blurry. Is that intended? In her dragon form I would love to see the wings open/close animation removed similar to what you did for her Ice Drake skin. she doesn't have the elastic membrane found in her Ironscale, boneclaw and darkflame skins so it looks silly when the bladed metal wings stretch like that.
