: Hey Martlet, just curious if you're going to try to use this missions thing to attempt to get people to play more game modes, such as 3v3. You could do some kind of reward system for playing 2 or 3 games a day/week. It would hopefully expand the 3v3 game mode and hopefully bring more attention to the rework of the game mode itself. Any thoughts?
As we are starting with events we have not directly thought about missions to draw attention to certain game modes, but we hope to have more missions for tons of aspects of League so it is not off the table. The design philosophy which will give more insight into the missions you could see in the future check out the [design post on it by Revenancer](http://nexus.leagueoflegends.com/2017/05/dev-on-missions/) (shameless plug)
: I'm curious, how far are you going with this? Other than events like what we see, will you be doing it for lore events like how you did Burning Tides Esque "Twisted Fate or Graves." Or even go deeper than that and do like Dawngate-esque living lore using this feature?
We want to go further with this than events and have missions for more aspects of League such as lore or esports, but we are just starting out with events and looking for feedback.
: I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this but, will it ever be possible to decline a mission? I play a game app called Bubble Witch 3 (don't judge me, it's fun, real gamers play iPhone games.) The quests there give you the option to opt out of a quest, and it will generate a new quest in it's place, but there's a down time to it. Usually about 8 hours, but maybe something like that could be implemented here? So say if you don't own X champion or are really out of your comfort zone but you really want the reward, you can take a bit of a gamble. You either keep this mission and grind through it, or you can do a sort of reroll, you'll get a new mission in say a day or two but it still might not be a champion you like. Or perhaps instead of being specific champions it can be play this class of champions. So if it's a marksman, but the player is a jungle main they could play Graves or Kindred jungle. The reward could also be earning the icon for that class. Currently you have to play 5 games to earn the icon, correct? So with this reward it might cut it down to 3 games. Obviously this mission system is not meant to be a bad experience for players but some flexibility in quests can be helpful.
Thanks for the question/suggestion. We are currently starting with supporting traditional events which are on for a short time frame and few missions, so you can't "decline" a mission as we would have no other mission to replace it. Also, we don't want you to have to spend tons of time deciding on which mission you should do, so we don't focus you to opt in to them. If a mission is active you can make progress on it. That being said we don't want you to feel like you have to grind out a mission. We want them to challenge your skills not how many games you can get through. I do love the idea of more variety in the type of missions we can support so that there are some awesome one for everyone. Aslo, for more info on the design philosophy check out the [design post on it by Revenancer ](http://nexus.leagueoflegends.com/2017/05/dev-on-missions/)(shameless plug)
: Just need to ask. Do the missions apply only to normal games? Like summoner's rift games? Or does it also apply to RGMs and ARAM? Thanks!
Unless the mission specifically says a certain game mode it applies to all queues (except customs).
: Wild be banner of the serpent free or it wild be avaibel by rp?
You will have to have purchased it to be able to receive that mission. We want to test that when you get a new item a new mission appears.

Hey, thanks for replying (and including a screenshot). It is looking like the German translations are not there. To help me track that down, if you switch to English do you have the same problem?
