First of all, this is a great example of a detailed, specific and concise report. I was able to quickly understand the described issue without trying to decrypt anything in the post. I regret to say that is not a bug. Movement abilities can be interrupted by another displacement effect. Since Gnar's E is instant and Singed E is not, Singed's E have a cast time, the interaction of the cast time differences on these displacement abilities is what's happening here, and it is completely expected.

It's intentionally done as a Quality of Life in the practice tool, so that you dont need to wait 30 seconds before you can cast it again within a combo.

It depends on what the situation is, but this sounds like one of the reason why this change was made.

: @Riot There is a bug where you cannot double cast off the buffered e after q (for example q buffer e then double cast wq doesn't work). If you do q then wait for the animation to finish then e you can double cast normaly still.
Okay. I went and dug into this, here's my conclusion: WQ double cast is 'technically' a bug in data authoring of Q, and how the game buffers the spell casts. I actually accidentally fixed the data during dev, and had to undo it for the preservation of the double cast. As a reminder, we are not interested in removing any combos with the work we are doing here. Once I finish integrating all the changes, I'll look into how to properly author this properly. For now, time it ;)

Some of these changes are targeted at making the Animation Cancelling experience more consistent, thus easier to learn. Making Riven easier to play is probably a disservice to Riven players. Making her ability trigger more consistently and as expected is the first step to smoothing the learning curve. For the record, Riven is one of the few champions in the game that have intentionally scripted animation cancels.

I'm a computer science major so you can be as technical as you'd like, I just wanted to better understand the changes and fully understand the meaning behind them, if there's any besides "lag makes it harder to play her at more advanced levels"
Think of it the animation cancelling events becoming more event driven instead of polling checks.

: Hey, Avid Yasuo player here (225k with him, playing him since his first appearance on the weekly rotation of champions, so i followed him in every change happened on him) In feeling wise, it is not smoother for us at all. Basicly, now i've the feel to play with Project Yasuo (the skin which is the most avoided BECAUSE of the clunky feeling on AA) on every skin/base. I suspect that now, the animation is too short, after viewing your explanation, and it is that induce this horrible feeling Now is it better to merge to the thing that a lot of experienced yasuo player dislike, and make it the norm? Unfortunately i don't think so, merge the yasuo project aa on pair with other skin, beside, would be welcomed. But if you talk about clarity, it would be better for inexperienced yasuo player, not the used to, since they don't have to feel that clunkiness. Now, is it better, in my small opinion, not at all, but in overall, i don't know.

: I have 2 things to make sure they're either intentional or to be fixed. 1) -When Master Yi uses Q on dragon while soloing, dragon immediately drops aggro then re-aggros when Q is done and does it's initial "Wind Knockback" attack. -This "Wind Knockback" does not happen when any teammate attacks dragon at least once during the battle. -If there is a teammate, the aggro does not switch to that teammate during Q and dragon still does not use it's "Wind Knockback". -Dragon's "Patience" value is not noticeably decreased. 2) -When Yi uses Q on a minion and that minion dies before alpha strike completes, Yi stays at his same position instead of where the dead minion was. -I like using this mechanic to turn Yi into a poke champion (with some good skill) but it feels somewhat buggy so I figured I'd bring it up.

: Riot Exgeniar, i played against doom bots which is the perfect game mode to test Alpha Strike and i noticed that there was Ryze ulti's all over the place. I tried many times to stand over Realm Warp and Alpha Strike to go untargetable but it teleport me once Alpha Strike animation ends. Is this intended? Sorry i haven't played many games this season so i don't know how the new Ryze works. I wish my LoLReplay works, but doesn't seem to work with this PBE patch.
Ryze ultimate probably don't care about your untargetability. Ryze ult will pull invulnerable units as well.

: Actually they're already fixing that with Baron in general. Being on top of him the 'knockback' duration is much less. I forget the number either .25 or .33 now as compared to 1 second before.

Those are not Master Yi issues, they are issues triggered by Master Yi. Those are whole different beasts, some of those are also intentional.

But for Master Yi is different, the problem with alpha strike was sometimes he get hit by ability's like Lux and Riven ulti when he is in mid Q. : I played on the PBE a min ago and so far so good. There was a moment when Hecarim ulti me when i was i Alpha Strike and it killed me, not sure tho i was low around 50-100 HP, DOT may have killed me. Unfortunately my LoLReplay was outdated and did not record the game. ~~Can we except Master Yi buffs or changes, especially when Assassins rework hit live. As i heard pink ward no longer reveal stealth which mean Master Yi will suffer from this, since champions like Akali will go stealth for the whole Highlander duration and nothing can be done. Even right now he feel someone weak who rely on RNG, either your team has to do well or you lose. According to EUW op.gg, his win rate in 46.31% with over 350 000 games played this month. ~~ Once again thank you for working on the Alpha Strike bugs.
If Master Yi during Alpha Strike, there are one of few things that could have happened: 1) A Dot 2) An ability didn't respect your untargetability 3) I messed up 4) Lag Did Hecarim E you while you were Alpha Striking? That could be the case.

: If I have Violent Tendencies ready, and I cancel an autoattack, it still triggers, giving me a limited amount of time to make four strikes instead of three. I'm not sure if this happens every time, because I'm pretty bad at canceling autos, but it seemed very frequent. I would have expected Violent Tendencies to start on autoattack completion rather than start.
This happens because when the attack for W1 is fired, it needs to have the correct attack speed. If we don't do that W1 will be very slow, and thus bugged. This is one of the reason why W will activate on attack being launched, not when it connects.
