Rioter Comments
: Hey sorry guys, I've been compiling all your feedback and comments -- AND I MEAN ALL -- to hand back to Blood Moon Eve's devs today. I really understand your points and frustrations, and want to address them asap. Special shoutouts to everyone here, including but not limited to: Vaaskael, Tormentula, Z3ro TWO, Daunt, Larriet, EveEtoile, CutieFLY, Evening Dove. I know I was more responsive day-of on Conq Varus but I was swamped yesterday -- it was not my intent to treat Eve lovers differently, sorry about that! I've got more time to reply today :). {{sticker:sg-zephyr}}
Hey there! I did not have much of a problem with Blood Moon Evelynn, but after seeing today's tweaks on PBE, I have a few observations: https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/9aa3a544521e873aedf17e387d6acdfded7e42b9dd55b77f1a8fd52a0e68fac9.jpg The pink hair with blue horns was a lot more interesting/aesthetically pleasing than red hair with golden horns. The golden horns don't pop from her hair and the overly red hair clashes with the cherry-pink tails (lashes?) and dress straps. I'm seeing a lot of mixed reactions about the skin having "too much pink and blue", so I hope we could get a little more insight from you guys. Why make such a drastic change when pink and blue are *also* on brand with the Blood Moon theme? Eve's skin has been compared to Blood Moon Elise, but people fail to remember what happened when that skin was presented 3 years ago. It also came to PBE as a "majorly pink and blue" skin, but a vocal portion of the community asked for it to be red. After the changes, another portion of the community complained that they liked the skin better in its pink version, and they had been silent until then because they had no complaints. http://i.imgur.com/8Tn9xbZ.jpg The skin ended up going back to pink, though with a bit more of a red undertone, reaching a good middle ground between pink and red. https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rsR7elKCcNk/WjvG9Osb-JI/AAAAAAAA1po/t2uxBzg3UpEbeSvxLviyvETB-0SWaisuACLcBGAs/s1600/eliseturn.jpg I wonder if that'd be possible for the Evelynn skin, to have reddish-pink hair with blue horns, so there is a good compromise between the two versions. Thank you for your time!
: PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Pizza Delivery Sivir!
Hey there! The skin looks amazing and I love the idea of a pizza shuffle. The different toppings for her (W) are also a great touch! Would it be possible to add a small "Poro's" patch to Sivir's left sleeve, like the one in her splash art? Or maybe add it to the back of her shirt? That'd be my only suggestion. Everything else looks great. By the way, her death animation's true tragedy is the pizza falling cheese-side down. 😔
: PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Gun Goddess Miss Fortune!
Hello! The skin looks great, pleasantly surprised that MF is getting the ultimate. My only observations are: - Her homeguard animation: the fire VFX coming from her "jetpack" blinks every second or so, as if it were faulty. Is that intended or some glitchy visuals? It's a little bit unnerving. - Her (E) particles don't change much from suit to suit, and they're a bit transparent/muted. Maybe the VFX could be amped up a bit there, making the falling bullets seem flashier? My suggestion would be to add some stardust particles, like the ones that can be seen during her ultimate(s). - The splash art: her face seems off, especially the nose, as other comments have mentioned (making the nose wider and less upturned would be great). Overall, the skin looks great! Thanks for the great content. May I ask, are we getting 3 other splash arts for GGMF's exo-suits, like we did with each of Elementalist Lux's forms?
: Hi Paris! ^^ Thanks for popping in! I'm running through a lot of the feedback with the team today, and I've jotted these points down. I'm not sure if/what we're changing just yet, but any potential changes would be on PBE late this week/early next week. :)
About the changes: love them! The heart pauldron does a perfect job breaking the emptiness of the shoulders and looks great from the in-game angle. The gold trim added the finishing touch the skirt needed! Couldn't be happier with them. Thank you! The other details added (heart jewels on the necklace and cape, heart shape on the leggings) look great as well! Overall fantastic job. ♡

Hey!! I'll be looking forward to it :) Thanks again!
: PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Lunar Empress Lux!
Hello!! I'm super excited for this skin, everything looks ethereal and divine, everything I'd expect from a Lunar Revel skin. My only concern is that the VFX for her light binding (Q) looks a lot like she's casting a shield. More specifically, the round light aura that appears on her staff as she motions towards casting the Q. https://i.imgur.com/LQXzxXg.png What seems to be causing this confusion (on me, at least) is that the delineation of the circle is thick and visible, but the inside not as much, giving an impression of a shield. Looks like a light barrier instead of the light emanating from the staff that it's supposed to be. My suggestion would be to either break down the circle, so it's not as perfect and shield-like, or make the inner light shine as bright/brighter than the outer circle. That's it, all the other abilities' VFX, SFX, skin texture, model, recall, everything looks amazing. Looking forward to the splash arts! Thanks for the great work!
: PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Sweetheart Xayah!
Hello! I really like this skin and the darker color scheme. ~~(I may be biased though, cause I'm totally getting Snow White vibes from it)~~ For real, I think it fits Xayah's personality *and* still looks romantic, the blue tones look great and could've easily gone south if the dark colors were grayish. Overall great color scheme imo! My only issues with the skins are her bare shoulder and the lining of the skirt. - Bare shoulder: looks great if you see the champion model completely straight, but when Xayah leans forward in her in-game pose, it becomes a rather "empty" space in the middle of the skin. This is the same problem I had with Heartseeker Quinn; the outfit is great, but the part we see the most (thanks to the game's aerial point of view) is empty and undetailed. I wouldn't say that covering her shoulders is the answer, but maybe adding something small to break the emptiness, like extending her cape a bit, an arm cuff, a heart brooch or even a thin shoulder strap. - Skirt: the way her skirt ends abruptly, like it's been cut off, is a bit odd. I like how simple it is, but maybe adding a golden trim could make it look more finished. You can see that there is a gold trim on the leg that she puts forward (left), but the other one has no lining. That's all, everything else looks 10/10. As always, thanks for doing an amazing job with the skins and being open to feedback! Happy new year!
: PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Lunar Guardian Warwick!
Hello! The skin looks amazing and I'm really digging the good dog/bad dog theme for this year. I'll admit it though, my first impression was that it looked like Tundra Hunter Warwick with a few gold accents added. Having a more thorough, careful look, I could see all the intricate details on this skin, but Warwick's posture somewhat hides them. His most visible spots are his head/hunchback and his tail; the head looks great, but the tail is just plain. My suggestion would be to add something to the tail, golden rings, medallions, jewels, armor, a golden plate, chunky ropes, golden ribbons, anything that would seem worthy of a divine guardian. Other than that, everything seems great. Thanks for the great work on this year's skins!
: calling it "arbitrary" is so unnecessarily rude. You're probably going to get what you want anyway. :/
I did not mean to be condescending or rude with the choice of word "arbitrary", just that it's something motivated by personal desire [to have Jinx as -hair color-]. Not implying that having a personal preference is bad either, color combinations are often regarded as subjective. It's just that in this case, the issue is not crucial to the quality and/or gameplay of the skin and making a drastic change would probably cause as much dissatisfaction as it would be trying to solve. I apologize for coming off rude, it wasn't my intention. Everyone's feedback is valid and disregarding yours would be counter-productive to the discussion!
: There's so many people saying that they don't like the blond tho, can't u at least tone it more towards a different color? :(
I love the blonde and would hate to see it changed to brown/white/blue. I believe what they're saying is that there is not a good reason (clarity issues, meshing colors) to change the blonde to any other hair color other than arbitrary, personal preferences. It's not a reasonable decision to make a complete change when you don't have a clear vision of what your goal is. If she had blonde hair, yellow clothes and yellow weapons, that would be jarring and changing something would sound like a fair option. But her color scheme is currently balanced between yellow, red, white, purple and green. Not to mention that you can't tell how many people like or dislike the blonde, as people displeased with her hair color are more likely to be vocal about it than those who enjoy it.
: I would just like to say that, *ahem*, I think he'd look muuuch better if he "accidentally" lost the green shirt. Totally NOT thirsty or anything. ... >.> (or maybe at least left it unbuttoned...)
Yes, the green shirt looks off. If losing it completely is too big of a change, at least give him a deep, Deep, _Deeeep_ V neck collar!
: PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Ambitious Elf Jinx!
Hello! The Snowdown skins are looking AMAZING and so fun. Thanks for the great work! I'm so happy to see a Snowdown Jinx skin, especially one that translates her explosive personality so well to a festive theme. 10/10 Here are a few things that I caught from the skin: - Love the model! The idea to make one of her pigtails an elongated santa hat is really cool and a nice twist on the traditional festive outfit. It doesn't look off and you can still see Jinx's signature silhouette. - The weapons are super creative. I love the toy-train minigun, nothing I'd change there. The Fishbones is also really fun and unique, but the rear of the rocket launcher is a bit too simple, too square. My suggestion would be to add a gift tag to the body of Fishbones, so it would break from the continuity of "straight lines" (the rectangle box + ribbon go parallel to each other for the majority of the rocket launcher's body, making it monotonous). Kinda like this: https://i.imgur.com/XsLCyXo.png - Also about fishbones, the attack animation is a bit weird. The particles are amazing (blue-white snow! sparkles!), but the model of the projectile (bullet/bomb) doesn't look like anything. For example, Slayer Jinx's projectiles clearly look like bottles/molotov cocktails, but I just can't tell what Elf Jinx's projectiles are supposed to be. My best guess would be gift-wrapped bombs, but they also look like tiny christmas trees (and they looked like fishes to me when I first saw them). If I were to suggest what to change, I'd say make the green and red colors brighter plus add a bow and/or ribbons to the "tail" of the projectile, so it reads more like a wrapped rocket/grenade and less like a big triangle. - The clapping monkeys for chompers are SOOO good and creative. Thank you for that. My favorite part of the skin! - Super Mega Death Rocket: Love it. The reindeer head, the rudolph nose. Super fun and cute! Something that I noticed about the particles, though: the initial stage of the rocket leaves a zig-zag smoke trail behind and, although I think it looks very aesthetically pleasing, it seems to mess up clarity a bit. It looks like the rocket is moving in a zig-zag pattern during its early stage. That might not be a problem if you've seen jinx before (you'll know her ult goes in a straight line), but I don't know how the zig-zag would affect new players. The rocket itself is rather small and moves really fast, so the trail is often seen as part of the projectile. (The second stage of her ult looks like it goes in a straight line and doesn't have clarity issues.) Other than that, her ult is *the bomb*! - Small suggestion: I think it'd be sooo cool if Jinx had a tiny candycane tattoo on her upper arm. https://i.imgur.com/HbpPgKC.png But I'd understand if you guys thought that adding a tattoo would make her model look a bit too busy. That's all! As always, thank you for always delivering such incredible skins to the game. Looking forward to the Snowdown event, I'm definitely getting that skin myself! Happy holidays and a happy new year! :)
: [CLOSED] PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Super Galaxy Elise!
Hello! I'm so excited to see a new Elise skin and Super Galaxy is looking great, especially the purple and green color scheme. My only suggestion would be to add some sort of headgear to Elise's upper forehead, as right now the in-game angle makes her head seem like it's just hair. You can't really see the black accessory on the back of her head unless she's facing up (towards the player's point of view) or seen from behind. The shape and style of her hair also add to that feeling of "too much purple", as bangs basically cover half of her face. https://i.imgur.com/9THFHR5.png With that in mind, I tried making some variations of glasses that could be added, giving her head a pop of color: https://i.imgur.com/TkcyXdw.png I thought gurren lagann-ish glasses would fit her Super Galaxy theme (as many other skins of the line also have it) and green would make sense with the color scheme of her spider legs. EDIT: I just thought of adding green streaks/highlights to her hair, as that'd be an easier option that only requires texture changes: https://i.imgur.com/KJeuyhw.png But that's just some of the possibilities, any kind of headgear would be great to break the excess of purple we have on her hair right now (goggles, visor, circlet, spikes, horns, headband come to mind). Other than that, the skin looks amazing! The particles are top-notch, for both human and spider form. And I love how Elise still retains her evil/scary appearance in the Super Galaxy skin theme. Thanks for the great work, looking forward to its release!!

Can't wait for it to go live!! As always, thanks for doing an amazing and hard work to consistently bring us amazing content! ❤ Awww, I'm so happy that my heroine Paris Hilton plays League! <3 Hehe thanks for all the kind words and feedback! This is actually some new tech that we recently used, different from the one used on Ahri. :] Maybe we can use it more in the future for skins where it makes sense! Yeah, we did get some similarity concerns to Order of the Lotus, but we really tried to differentiate with the more serene, ethereal and mystical aspects here. We really wanted to show that with the ulti too, where you can tell that this is one badass magical sword. She barely has to unsheathe it in order to blast enemies away and save her allies with one single movement. ;) Hehe yeah, her sword-holding may seem a bit odd, since we're basically replacing her sword with a staff and then elongating the sword to have closer silhouette/shape reads when compared to her usual staff. If you got any improvements that you think we can easily act upon, I'd love to hear more! Thank you! <3
Ohh! That's so cool. The buggy Janna chromas from a few days ago were a great insight, being able to see how the hair is actually 3-4 pieces floating together. The effect is amazing! (by the way the chromas look sooo good) As others have pointed out, I also think that her ult's SFX volume could be a bit louder at the end, instead of fading away as it progresses. That's about it, everything else looks great! If you don't mind, I have a small question: what happens to a champion's "hitbox" when they get skins that increase their visual size in some way? With Sacred Sword Janna's hair being (or appearing to be) much longer than her base/other skins, can someone click at the tip of her hair and still select/attack her? And thanks for taking the time to reply! ❤
: [CLOSED] PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Beekeeper Singed!
_Oh honey, hooneey_ This is such an adorable and silly skin! The little bee timer around the enemies is my favorite detail. The honeycomb patterns used on the skin look really good and _scaled up_, which might be an important detail considering that closely-packed holes may cause trypophobia on some people (though I'm not trypophobic and would love to see the opinion of someone who is). The same goes for the shield, great execution! Hive never played Singed before, but now I'll bee buzzy running around the map with this skin.
: [CLOSED] PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Sacred Sword Janna!
Hello! I'm stoked to see a new Janna skin and the Immortal Journey(?) theme is absolutely gorgeous. Loving it!! I don't see anything that could possibly need tweaking, so I just wrote down some observations: ● The hair and sleeves have such fluid movements! : [CLOSED] PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Star Guardian Ahri!
Hey! I'm so happy to see the Star Guardian theme come back for a third round, the skins are looking *amazing* and I love how they feel different from the original 5, yet cohesive. The 4-edge star approach (on clothing and particles alike) is very aesthetically pleasing and distinguishable. Love it! About Ahri's skin in specific: The color scheme, particles and model are very, very well done. I personally love how this skin in particular has a heavier/more noticeable Sailor Moon inspiration! The golden circlet, the very well-detailed recall animation (ribbons turning into gloves aah)! I can totally see Usagi Tsukino in it. Amazing job! Regarding the particles, I noticed a minor detail: When her Q completes the first travel (blue), the orb teleports to a slightly lower altitude when beginning its return (pink). This happens on several, if not all Ahri skins, but some of them seem to be less noticeable (Arcade) and have a smoother transition between the normal and true damage orbs, while others seem to be more abrupt, which would be the case of Star Guardian Ahri. So the issue is not specific to the SG skin, but seems more evident on it. I don't know if my thoughts are clear, so here is a gif of when it is the most noticeable: https://i.makeagif.com/media/8-09-2017/A1Cm32.gif Basically, the transition between the blue and pink spheres is a bit rough and makes it seem like the sphere is teleported in the map. I don't know if that's something you guys can tweak at this point, or if it's intended as some sort of clarity between the different instances of her Q, but that's the only thing I caught as slightly off-putting. Everything else looks great and super fluid! Something else I've noticed is that the textures on her face look a bit "flat" and don't seem to translate well into the game. It's just that her eyes don't have strong delimitations (such as eyliner, lashes) so the white of her eyes bleed into her skin. It ends up looking a bit like a toy with adhesive pupils slapped on its face. The other new SG skins (more specifically MF, Syndra and Soraka) don't have this 'flat' impression, as their eyes either have well-defined lower (and inner corner) lashes or smaller irides, showing some white space between the iris and the lashes. Hope it makes sense! All in all, the skin looks fantastic and I can't wait for its release, super hyped! Thanks for the hard work!!!
: PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Pool Party Chromas!
Hey! The chromas are looking great and I'm especially stoked to see so much personality added to each and every one of them. Simple recolors can be great, but this kind of customized content goes above and beyond. Great work! **Regarding Pool Part Fiora**: I don't have much to say, every color scheme and design looks amazing. Sometimes I'm not a fan of the color combinations used in chromas, but this time around every option feels well-rounded and harmonious. It's just a matter of personal taste, which is great for chromas imo. A few things caught my attention (positively): 1. The noodle swords are super creative and radiate personality! I love how they're not all one single color, but gradients, patterns and ludic themes too, such as fruits. 2. The swimsuits have different silhouettes. Makes it extra personalized! 3. They don't feel overdone! Some of them could've gone way overboard, such as the Rainbow and Sapphire ones. Many games have a super matchy-matchy point of view, making the entire outfit rainbow or watermelon-inspired (red and green), but you guys balanced it out. The rainbow noodle looks great with the simple white top and light scarf, as well as the watermelon print with white and dark blue garments. **Regarding Pool Party Lulu:** This one is the most personal to me, as I love playing with the PP Lulu skin. Every chroma is full of personality and completely different. I'm sure every one of them will be popular, as they each cater to a different player demographic. Again, the color combinations are great and don't feel random at all. The different faces on the inflatable squids + blowfishes are entertaining and something I've wanted to see on more chromas ever since the Alistar, Maokai, Gnar and Amumu chromas batch from a while ago. I hope it's a trend that keeps on going, as those are the best kind of chromas in my opinion! The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the color of the Sandstone chroma. I love the idea of having a kitty-faced squid, but the brown and cream color scheme feels a bit off for a pool party skin. I can totally see that it's a (super cute) siamese cat, but the colors don't read "summer" or "fun" to me. They also don't seem to go that well with her violet hair+skin, purple floatie, yellow/red shell and pink fish. Those are the only colors I would deem a bit "random". If I were to suggest a cat breed to go well with her floaties and staff, I'd say calico or somali, but again it's hard to make cats feel "summery" haha. A surreal, fantasy-colored cat wouldn't be bad, though! But anyway, that's just a minor nitpick as every chroma looks amazing. Great job!!!! _(PS: THE NEMO CHROMA WITH A DORY BLOWFISH IS GENIUS AND THANK YOU FOR THAT)_ **Regarding Pool Party Graves:** Oh boy, at this point I'm just repeating myself: they're all full of personality and individuality. Great color schemes, great design variations, so much attention to detail!! I love how I can look at them and say "that one belongs to a boyband, that one came straight from Miami, that one looks vintage, that one is wearing a Borat green mankini." It's not Graves sporting different swimsuits, it's Graves exploring different alternate realities and time eras! Great work all around. Overall, the chromas are all well done and setting the bar high for what's yet to come. I'm excited for all of them! Thanks for the great work!
: Hey Paris! We've updated the Q and the R based on some of your feedback, lemme know whatcha think! <3
Hey Katey! I just got into the game and here are my thoughts regarding the update: **Aqua Prison (Q):** The transition from the initial yellow bubble to the prison is a lot smoother! Instead of going from completely yellow to completely blue, the prison bubble now starts yellow and slowly fades to blue, with a few purple undertones inbetween. The yellow glow around the stunned enemy makes the whole bubble feel yellow, but not to the point of being confused with a Kayle ult. The watery feel is still present and not compromised! The new sparkly droplets flying from Nami's model when casting Q are also a great addition, as well as the prolonged golden glitters that now follow the stunned enemy until the end of the animation. I see the Q update as a complete success. The particles feel unique to SKT Nami and do not reminisce her previous skins. **Tidal Wave (R): ** The wave is now greener and more harmonious. The golden fireflies are much more visible and voluminous, differentiating the particles from her base's and even River Spirit's. I've also noticed a yellow aura (smoke? mist?) emanating from the wave, giving the feel of "yellow particles" without changing the color of the water itself. Just like her Q, the particles now feel unique to SKT and cohesive with Q, W and E. Love it! Overall, the update hit the issues right on the head and I could not be any happier with it. I have no complaints, only praising to do! Thanks for carefully looking at the players' feedback!
: Hi Paris! As always, thanks for popping in and leaving some feedback! <3 The bubble around an enemy was intended not to be yellow, as to avoid confusion with a Kayle ult! That said, I'm open to any ideas you may have on how to change things up, without obscuring gameplay. :) Since she's still a fish, we did want to maintain the watery aspect, and focused around adding some gold glitter bits to spells. For what the spell does, imo at least, the empowered AA shouldn't be too loud, as compared to something like her heal. I'd be curious to hear your thoughts! That's good feedback to note surrounding the ult. Having too much gold in a lane-wide wave would be a bit jarring, imo, but I'll talk to the team and see if there's something that could be done to spruce it up! WHICH BRINGS ME TO YOUR NEXT POI...holy shit, hahaha. Only slightly. ;) I'm glad you're in the right mindspace for this type of feedback. THE RECALL THO, RIGHT?! I'd say let's lane together, but only one of us can pick Nami, and I'm going to be real and tell you up front that I'm a garbage tier Jhin. :P
Ohhh, I can totally see how it'd look like Kayle's ult. The idea to keep her visuals watery with golds and glitts is great, and sounds like the best option right now. I'd only suggest making the glittery effects last a bit longer upon Aqua Prison's landing, would make a gorgeous transition from the golden bubble to the blue one! And hahahah, now that'd be a good reason to have One For All back! Oh, and I forgot to mention how cool the players' signatures look on the recalls!!! That's genius. Thanks for taking the time to reply to feedback, it's much appreciated!
: [CLOSED] PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: SKT T1 World Championship Skins!
Hey! The skins are looking great, especially Zac and Nami. I'm really digging the fantasy, royalty take on eSports skins, great job! @Riot KateyKhaos Regarding Nami's skin, I've noticed that her Aqua Prison (Q) is a golden bubble, but when it lands on the target they're surrounded by a blue/white bubble. I don't know if this is intended or missing visuals, but the color change seems very abrupt and makes the particles feel inconsistent. I also have the same feeling towards Tidecaller's Blessing (E), the bubbles around Nami are golden and vibrant, but the damage splashes on enemy targets are predominantly white/blue, with the exception of a few muted sparkles. Her Tidal Wave (R) looks nice, though a bit underwhelming. My first thought was "they just added an SKT logo to her base particles", but then it shifted towards "they just added an SKT logo to River Spirit's particles". The golden "fireflies" flowing through the wave are very aesthetically pleasing and harmonious, but again the predominant blue/white water looks inconsistent with her very-saturated golden Q, W and E. I have to ask though, did you guys stray away from making golden water particles to avoid connections to, uhm, _human bodily fluids_? Because if so, that'd be completely understandable. I just want to suggest realistic possibilities, such as amp up the number and saturation of the golden fireflies on all abilities, rather than making the entire waves/water effects a yellow color, if that's a path you don't want to follow. Everything else looks completely amazing! Ebb and Flow, Nami's model, THE RECALL!!! I'm definitely buying the skin for that alone. Thanks for the hard work on making eSport skins that fit both the team's and the champions' aesthetics/thematics! 11/10
: Hiya! I'm personally really excited to see what we can do with these two in the future (fingers crossed for matching Valentine's Day skins...) As always, I really appreciate the detailed feedback you provide. It's so much easier to speak with my team about feedback when I can tell them why someone isn't a fan of something, or what they think could make something better! I have a meeting with the pod working on Cosmic Dawn Rakan this morning, and I'm going to bring up this feedback, and other feedback in the thread to get some second/third opinions and see which direction the team feels would be best to move forward in. ^-^
Yes!!! Valentine's day, Festival Queen/King... I'm personally hoping for Mafia, imagine them with city pigeon wings?? I'd die Thanks for taking the time to reply to feedback! Will surely be looking forward to the next pbe updates!
: Skins aren't shared, Xayah/Rakan can choose to use base or their Cosmic skins independently of one another. Wouldn't rule them out for legendaries. No new Lover's Leap animation, same as base!
Are they bound to always have the same skin themes, though? Like, right now they both have Cosmic skins, will the next theme (say, Elderwood, Mecha) also include the two of them? Or is it possible to have an Elderwood Rakan for sale and no Elderwood Xayah created, for example?
: PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Cosmic Dawn Rakan!
Hello! The new champions are amazing and I'm sure there are huge opportunities for skin themes to work around them, can't wait to see what the future holds! Hype! About the Cosmic Dawn skin for Rakan, I don't really feel drawn to acquire it, as I believe the theme could've been executed differently. For instance, is his face supposed to resemble an owl? If so, I really dig the Cosmic Owl vibes, but right now it's not fully coming through in my opinion. His sideburns and ears seem to be excessively covered by human-like skin (and a brass plate that makes him look like any kind of Vastaya), there are no feathery details. It reads more as "elf", "druid" than "cosmic harpy". If I had to guess what the champion is in the Cosmic Dawn skin, I'd say he is a Satyr (goat-like) rather than a Harpy. https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vFzY7s03Jug/WORMnGZsmEI/AAAAAAAAhiA/JnX81Ts6nCodVCT3ECvct3_LDdcpMjNpACLcB/s1600/rturn.jpg I would also like to point out that his pants seem *very* unflattering, looking almost like a diaper. I believe that's caused by how it looks pulled up on the crotch area, as well as the color. The geometrical details also seem to be a little out of place, for lack of better words. Other than that, I believe everything else is worthy of a 1350 skin and fits the theme very cohesively. Especially the recall and R particles! Kudos to the skins team!

: regarding her skin tone remember that on splash art there is night so it's different light and that's why it looks like she have more pale skin. also skin =/= canon. Diana don't need to have pale skintone on every skin. Overall I hope that they give her new splash art for basic skin + tune up her skintone on her ingame model so she won't look like pale vampire/undead. She was rised by Solari. There is no chance she would avoid sun for like... 20 years and don't get her skin even a tiny bit tanned. She wasn't closed in basement and not allowed to see sun for whole life but she was living as every other Solari. Pure pale skin don't fit new Diana lore at all. Even in her lore there was no mention that her skin was changed to pale. Only her sable hair got turned to silver/white > I believe giving her the original pale tone would translate better to the Blood Moon theme does Akali and Elise also have pale skin on their BM skin? I don't recall.
When I mentioned Diana's skin tone being paler I used the in game model as reference, not the splash art: http://apollo-na-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/1438901898/diana.jpg But that's a good point! I do remember once Warring Kingdom Nidalee hit the PBE and her skin was much lighter than base Nidalee. In the end, the WK skintone was changed to match Nidalee's and be more cohesive with the champion as, even if skins represent a new "reality" for the champion, they still want to keep their identity. About her being pale not making sense... I can't really say anything as those are changes that have not been implemented by Riot. Were they to change her tone to match her past as a Solari, that would be very welcome imo. Akali's Blood Moon skin is a tad too old to the point that the vision they had for her might not be relevant anymore, but that's just an assumption. Blood Moon Elise's skin tone, on the other hand, is very pale and almost purple-ish. Elise being that pale in the BM skin seems to have been an arbitrary decision to harmonize with the colors, as her SKT T1 skin showcases her as a human with a more saturated skin tone (It's good to mention that Elise doesn't have as much of a human appearance as Diana, giving the artists more liberty with her depiction).
: PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Blood Moon Diana!
Hello! First of all I'd like to thank the skins team for considering Diana for the Blood Moon line, and doing a great job with it! I love the design and can see it being cohesive with the other 3 skins, as well as the previous years' BM skins. Thanks for the good work! I do, however, believe that a few tweaks could be done to the skin: ● Right now, the [splash art's mask](https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iy7-i4r2G_k/WIe2ZJsFsKI/AAAAAAAAco4/3Busi46UyPAuqVXc46V3nN443o04My-zQCLcB/s1600/Diana_Splash_11.jpg) is a bit different when compared to the in game mask. I know splash arts are not supposed to be 100% identical to the skins, but the in-game mask's horns resemble "fox ears" more than actual horns, as depicted in the splash art, if that makes any sense. What makes this difference seems to be the fact that the mask ends almost with the length of the horns, and lowering it a bit does the job. The mask also lacks human facial features, which could be added as a little detail. ● Diana's skintone also seems to be a little more saturated than she actually is in her base model. Though the difference is small, I believe giving her the original pale tone would translate better to the Blood Moon theme, as well as being more harmonious with her outfit's/hair colors. http://i.imgur.com/EDtmRjF.png I had some fun editing the preview picture to give a better idea of what I'm trying to convey. The horns now stick out a bit more, the mask has human features and her skin tone is paler to match the base skin. Again, thanks for the amazing job with this skin. I'll definitely be looking forward to it! ❤
: Well, still not tested it but, something bother me in the available video as I will probably face that skin soon. As much as I like the back animation, I think it could be very unituitive for ennemy to land skillshot on him during the last second (back immune to interupt if 0.5s left if I remember right) as usually you target the champ as a reflex, not the blue circle. It's not the first time I taught that (and the 2 camille back kinda sufer the same issue) but in santa braum case I think it's way to fast and away from the actual back point that it give hidden power to the skin
I second this. I believe what makes it the most unintuitive, as you said, is how at the second half of the animation he is no longer on screen and there's only a shadow left, far from the recall circle. Champion models straying away from their "hitboxes" have always confused me (lee sin's idle animation for example, I still don't know whether I should aim the skillshot towards his model or his health bar) and I'm not sure how that plays out in terms of clarity when it's exclusive to a skin. Also, a few champions in the game can screw up the recall circle animation, making it spawn a few teemos away from the actual champion. Tristana is one of them, happening when you hit B mid-jump: http://i.imgur.com/LYFgp1A.png (couldn't find a more recent pic) One could argue that the existence of such visual errors could lead to poor judgement when aiming at Santa Braum during his recall.
: PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Bewitching Morgana!
Hello! That morgana skin is amazing, even more so now that the price has been set to 975 RP. There is so much attention to detail that I could stare at it for hours (which I am doing right now) I saw that you guys are trying to boost her Bewitching VFX and I personally think it would be perfect if her recall, as well as the others, had a bit of Halloween-themed music. Pretty much how it was done at League of Legend's official instagram teaser: https://www.instagram.com/p/BLJnUAag5Tb/ It would be so fitting to have Morgana brewing her potion to some spooky soundtrack, in a way similar to the Star Guardian recalls. Other than that, the skin is 13/10. Thanks for the great content!
: PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Bewitching Tristana!
Hello! I love this skin, the witch theme this year is just too good. I especially love The pumpkin as Trist's bomb! Great job. May I ask, are those Halloween skins Legacy?
: PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Baker Pantheon, Barbecue Leona, Sashimi Akali, and Butcher Olaf!
The skins are great! Loving them all, especially Leona. My only concern would be that Sashimi Akali _slightly_ resembles Katarina when looking from behind, but I don't believe it's a big enough issue to cause clarity concerns. Looking gorgeous! I'm also happy that you guys gave Leona a few tiny vfx and still keeping it 750! :) Mind if I ask, will the splashart be shared? It seems like there's enough connection between them (food) but they have different names. Thanks!

: Hello! First of all, the skins team did a wonderful job bringing the so-requested deep sea nami to existence. The particles seem amazing, the W being a jellyfish is a nice way to deviate from the usual stream of water. The Q looks like a dark magic crystal _ball_ ble, something I would expect from Ursula, a character that really matches with the skin's theme. I guess I'll have to see the ultimate in movement to have an opinion on it though, but from the still images it seems well done. My only problem with the skin would be with the model itself. At first, I was not feeling the mohawk at all, as it looked like a bit of everything: wave, shark fin, seahorse "mane". All great things, but they don't exactly read as _deep_ sea to me. It also doesn't help that the entirety of the skin is very bright, probably as bright as Atlantean Syndra. So, separating it from its particles, the model looks a lot like an "Atlantean Nami" or even a Pool Party tropical fish. http://i.imgur.com/RuAkf0l.png i believe it's possible to give a darker feel to the skin through texture changes only, be it from making it darker or changing it a bit. http://thumbs.dreamstime.com/x/fish-fin-15511932.jpg It would be nice to have a spiky dorsal fin as her mohawk, as what is there right now seems rather soft and slug-like. It could also be darker, so her lure dangle pops out, as it is almost the same brightness as everything else on her head. I know it's important to keep the upper parts of the model brighter than the lower, but a slight change could go a long way. As for the tail fins, they could be darker as well, but that's just a minor detail. Nitpicks aside, the skin is gorgeous and something I've been waiting for a long while. I'm definitely picking it up myself as soon as it goes live. Thank you!
Now that I got to listen to the new particle SFX, I feel that the current W SFX is a bit too loud and off-putting. It sounds like you're throwing a water balloon against a metal sheet. My biggest issue with it is when it bounces to a champion that is very close to Nami herself, it makes two consecutive, fast, loud noises as seen below: https://youtu.be/0b3HxLkoFyQ?t=50s

The rework looks great and I can't wait to test it. I've been playing Zyra a lot more and these changes are very welcome. Near them -- on live, E spawns plants off seeds it travels near without needing to hit them directly. Q now does the same stuff. Once Zyra has 8 seeds in the world, the oldest will die as new ones appear. Seeds don't last any longer per level, though -- should be 45 seconds all game.
Oh, so the new ones will prevail over the old ones, killing them to take their place. That makes much more sense, thanks!
: MYMU - Zyra discussion
I have a few (?) questions about Zyra's new passive. At the MYMU reveal page, it says Zyra will have a limit of seeds on the map and that they will become faster and last longer with level. So that means a seed will pop up as soon as another expires? I'm curious to know how that will work with Zyra moving around the map. For mid/support roles, I guess there would be a lot of seeds in her initial lane and they would stay there for a while even after she leaves to gank another lane, hypothetically, as the seeds take longer to expire? I thought it would be nice to have some sort of mechanism that makes seeds last longer in lanes with zyra around and expire faster (or at the current live rate) when she's absent, making her seeds pop up faster at every new place she visits, as the limit would not be all filled up. I don't know if that could be an issue in the late game, as there aren't lanes anymore and Zyra would have long-lasting seeds at isolated places clustering the seed limit. (Unless that's not an issue with her new passive, I'm still trying to understand how it works and its possible scenarios) Also, will Zyra's seeds become plants as Q/E are placed **near** them (new) or directly over them (live)? Thanks! The rework looks great and I can't wait to test it. I've been playing Zyra a lot more and these changes are very welcome.
: MYMU - Brand Discussion
I know you guys don't balance champions based on maps other than Summoners Rift, and I am not asking you to do so, but do you guys have any info on how Brand's new passive AOE interacts with ARAM, as champions are usually bundled up together? I'm really excited to see how strong it can be! The reworks, especially Brand's, seem great on paper and I'll love to give more feedback as soon as I get a chance to test them. Good job!
: >Skins show different interpretations/realities of the champion. have you even saw what RiotKateyKhaos said about skins after the SKT skin negative feedback/reaction? > (...) Clarifying the original tweet, yes, there were iconic moments from Faker, the roll included- however, something like Ryze tumbling wouldn't translate well in game, or for him as a character. Aaand, honestly, it could potentially read like SKT Vayne, which is what I meant by not being unique.(...) if Ryze can't get special features like tumbling or eating broccoli because it don't fit his character then why Diana suddenly looks like typical soulless Fire Atronach/Fire Elemental/Fire Golem/etc instead of badass cool Magic Swordman human girl using fire magic?
Your comparison doesn't make much... sense? I don't exactly understand Katey's answer in the first place, as the issue with the SKT skins is pretty complex (Ryze tumbling should translate well as he does tumble in a cinematic, but that doesn't concern the current diana discussion), but Diana received an _Infernal_ skin, and it would not be fitting for her to be a magical girl with fire powers. The same way it would not be fitting for Phoenix Quinn to not have a phoenix valor. And even then, you are basing your arguments on "why this instead of this?". This is a skin that portrays diana as a warrior from hell, possibly made from molten lava and fire. It's a very, very, very fair representation of her champion in another reality and fits the Fire theme chosen when the Fire team won last year. It could've been a Magic Swordman human girl using fire magic (maybe called Moon Fire, Night Fire Diana, but not Infernal), but it isn't. I don't mean to just say "it is what it is", it's just that there is no actual reason why that skin should be edited to become something else, other than yours and n other people's personal tastes, which is not something that should dictate what the entire community receives. On another note, about the PBE never changing their content based on feedback, that's a misconception. The PBE feedback threads are for small changes and tweaks on launching skins, i.e. feedbacks about her hair being too short, not bright enough, visual glitches, things that have been mentioned here and most likely have been forwarded to the skins team. They won't make major changes that alter the core concept of a skin (infernal diana, diana from inferno, hell).
: problem is that people expected this skin to end like Foxfire Ahri, Frozen Shyvana, Phoenix Quinn, Frost Queen Janna, Icebutt Irelia, etc... **aka human girl with powers of fire/ice**... not some humanoid elemental/atronach/golem/demon with unnatural skin color and spooky/horror empty face You must remember that Diana isn't monster like Zyra. Zyra is half plant half human not pure human. Unnatural/non human skins look good on **Zyra since she is monster girl while Diana is normal human female. ** even fanmade fire Diana skin had more human/dark elf(?) skin https://i.ytimg.com/vi/wqppYcBK49g/maxresdefault.jpg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqppYcBK49g compared to what RIOT wants to give us... yellow/red skinned faceless abomination funny thing... fanmade Diana skin have better looking hair than Infernal Diana.... **less transparent fire red hair > transparent/ghostly/dying fire hair** props to RIOT for amazing skill particles and SFX but her model is sadly ugly and just copy os Wildfire Zyra sadly we know RIOT for long time and we know that they won't change anything in this skin since it hit PBE.... **it's not anymore the same company that totally reworked Lux basic model after community uproar** http://img1.leaguecraft.com/skins/asset/skin_0_760px_2991_1.jpg yes that's basic Lux model and it was insta changed before she got even released. if Infernal Diana was released back then then RIOT would for 100% change her skin color to human-like and improve her hair based on feedback/critique. Now they just give a damn since they even if people won't buy this skin then they will earn thousands of dollars from 20 other skins they release during one month
I get where you're coming from, but it just doesn't make much sense to create expectations for every skin to follow previous skins' characteristics when they don't equal quality (preferring a human-like skin over fantasy skin color isn't quality, but personal taste). "Infernal" Diana would be lacking if she looked more like a fire bender than an actual being ascended from hell (see infernal nasus). We also have other human(-like) champions with fantasy skin colors on specific skins, such as Void Bringer Illaoi, Elderwood LB, Demon Vi, Atlantean Syndra Skins show different interpretations/realities of the champion. While they can always follow a human-esque line of thought and be successful, that shouldn't be a law.
: Looks great! I do have some personal things I'd like to suggest changes for, if you're open to the suggestions of course! **Physical features** **Hair**: blends too much with her face which can make it look a little too much like a yellow/orange dot. Possibly soften the face or do something more animated with the hair to give it some life away from sitting there(She is a being of fire of course!). I recommend HIGHLY considering doing to her hair with what DJ Sona has on her's. It would create a more natural looking fire on her as well as not having it rest on her back while she runs, which would defy some physics (I may be incorrect) of fire. **Body**: I have seen some comments stating the body armor doesn't seem right, however I personally enjoy it, perhaps trim the hind leg plates down a bit to allow her body to breathe better. The spell effects look fantastic, wonderful job with all of them, but I do have some notes on each. Edit: After testing the skin in around 10 games, I've come to the conclusion of the following spells: **Spell effects** **Passive - Moonsilver Blade**: Her passive starts off great, the first two attacks look fantastic, however the third attack (as well as visual for it being ready) are unclear and cover her body in an unpleasant way, becoming a figure of orange, yellow, and some red. **Q - Cresent Strike**: The spell feels and looks fantastic, I would consider adding a little flare in the middle of the two arcs the bounces between even. **W - Pale Cascade**: Much like the spell above, looks and feels fantastic, I would personally say you could make them less like a sphere of fire and more into a fire dancing around her, like but not exactly similar to FoxFire Ahri's Fox Fire. **E - Moon Fall**: This ability has a great spell effect, color, everything except please consider changing the way it works to have the fire pulse from Diana herself outward, but quick enough to not create gameplay issues. **R - Lunar Rush**: This ability, I really love the different sound effect it has for when you refresh it compared to the consumed ultimate instead (yes all skins have a different noise like this, but this is the most notable) Much like the Q, I would consider a small cosmetic adjustment to make it look more like this being of infernal flame is coming at you with all her power. **The sword** personally reminds me of the Molten Rammus skin, color gradient not much else going on. ~~I'm not sure what her passive 3rd proc looks like, but if like all the other spells, I'm sure it's also fantastic.~~ This sword does have a small smoke effect when you strike someone, but other than that, the sword is just a retexture of any current sword she possess, with minor adjustments. Perhaps change the hilt to a flame, and even consider giving the sword the same texture of similar to a Malzahar W, where it changes in appearance depending on where you look at it. _I would do a TL;DR on this, but unfortunately I feel all of it at this point in the pbe cycle needs to be read, very sorry!_ Thanks so much for the skin regardless if you change anything on it or not, I appreciate a new Diana skin!! Edit: I feel as if I might need to clarify my opinion of this skin slightly more. After seeing little to no changes on it, I am disappointed with the lack of communication on this skin. I refuse to call the skin "trash, bad, or disgusting" because frankly it's not any or all of those things. It's looking more and more like there's very little to no grouping on this project and possibly trying to be rushed out and done with. I really hate being negative about such things, I realllllllllllly do but please do try to change at least one thing on this skin. As it stands, it's 1350 RP and yes it's still worth that price based off the work it has in it. Would many people pay 1350 for it? Of course! it's a great skin concept with a great start, but that's exactly what it is and has been left as currently... A start. I do implore you to please please please have another look at it. It's not a bad skin, it's really not, but just because it's not bad doesn't mean it's what I know and many others know you're capable of as artists. I've given my opinion on what I felt needed fixed and I edited above more clearly and concise with how I feel it could even be better improved on a more precise level. I really do thank you if you take the time to read over and even consider changing something on Infernal Diana, because frankly I wouldn't be making this post and editing it so clearly (from my standpoint) and passionately if I didn't truly care about the current state and future state of this skin. Thanks so much for creating the skin at the very least and I hope we're not disappoint in the end, but even if we are... You did your best and that's all I can ask from you. Thanks!
I agree on the face blending into her hair, at some point it reminded me of the teletubbies' baby-face sun. She seems to have some sort of floating circlet, maybe give it a different color (orange, red), so it shows clearly where her hairline is at, when looking upfront? I also thought it would be nice to have a body trail coming from her, similar to Deadman's Plate. Maybe a light, bright trail so it doesn't have clarity issues with Deadman's? Other than that, I really like the skin. Good job!
: Hey Paris Hilton! Thanks for the kind words about this skin! She's one of my favorite skins I've been lucky enough to work on. ^-^ I can mention the dress feedback to the team once we get back from break! The darkness/light theme is something we haven't done before, but I think it's a nice break off from the normal Warring Kingdoms thematic. Maybe I'm just really partial to the color scheme. ;) I can't spill the beans on the splash just yet, but you'll likely see them after the holidays!
Thank you! :[) I like the idea of making something new! It's looking great so far. The Warring Kingdoms skins are amazing though, I wouldn't mind having them forever haha Looking forward to the splash(es)! :)
: PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Radiant Wukong!
The skin looks amazing! Good job to the skins team! I just have a small curiosity: is that Wukong's second Lunar Revel skin? He was part of the 2012 Lunar Revel with his Jade Dragon skin, was it so far back in the days that you guys decided it shouldn't count as a Lunar skin? I don't know what's your "policy" on seasonal skins, but I've always assumed you'd rather not repeat a theme for a champion.
: PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Lunar Wraith Morgana!
Hey Katey! All the skins this year look absolutely fantastic, especially Morgana's! I love the design and styling choices, the hair + headpiece combo is just impeccably made. Good job to the entire skin team! The only thing I'd have an input in is the texture on Morgana's skirt, it looks as if the colors had been just airbrushed/blurred when shading, you can't really see any folds on the cloth. I don't know if that's because of the material her skirt is supposed to be made of (maybe it's a thick velvet?), but Morgana's current original texture has some nice folds and I think something like that would look great on Lunar Wraith Morgana. Again, good job! The apparent Darkness/Light theme for this Lunar Revel seems like an amazing idea. This is not their threads, but Caitlyn's and Wukong's skins look sick as hell, nothing I'd change. I don't even play them and really want to snag at least one. PS: Are we allowed to know if the Wraith skins are getting a shared splash art? Or even Wraith + Radiant? Or singles like the past Lunar Revels? :O
: Hey again! Just wanted to keep you in the loop. Based on the color of her jacket, and the rest of her outfit, we thought it was best to keep her hair the way it currently is to keep with a cohesive color scheme, and to not wash out the jacket/hair when you're looking at her from behind. As always, I appreciate the feedback! ^-^
Oh, that's fair Thanks for taking the time to reply and considering the feedback in first place! ^_^
: Snowdown Preview
That icon idea is just amazing! I must ask though, will we be able to choose which one to send, or even to send them all? Or will it be some kind of random icon you receive by being hit by snowballs?
: Hey Paris Hilton, Thanks for the feedback - I'd be happy to take it back to the team for discussion! Glad to hear you and your friend are excited for the skin! Syndra, Bard and Gnar will be sharing a splash art (I'm actually a big fan of it!) ^-^
Thank you!! I really appreciate it :[) Ooh, sounds exciting! Can't wait to see it :)
: PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: Snow Day Syndra!
Hello! First of all I'd like to congratulate you guys for these amazing skins. I have yet to see the particles on Snow Day Syndra, but I can say the model looks great. I can totally picture syndra being someone who would choose to wear a big fur coat with fur ugg boots. It's a great way to represent the champion in another theme without losing its personality. The colors on the coat, dress and scarf are great and form a really pretty color scheme, but I think the hair color is a bit too plain. It's almost the same tone on the entire length of the hair, maybe you could try making it a little lighter on the top and keep it dark on the tips? It wouldn't exactly be an ombré, more like a brighter lightning as it gets closer to the player's point of view. I made a small edit in case I'm not expressing myself clearly enough: http://i.imgur.com/D9Ngi8W.png The left is unaltered, while the right is brighter on the top part of the hair. Besides that, I tested a few other hair colors and found out Auburn looks amazing on syndra on that specific skin, but I don't know if changing the hair color completely is a too big of a change, or even unnecesary. But if you guys are open to it, I think it shines her strong character even more, besides being a pleasant color scheme: http://i.imgur.com/waE7q1Z.png Regardless, my friend and I are definitely buying that skin as we love syndra and are very happy she had the opportunity to be part of the Snowdown skins set. Thanks! P/S: Are we allowed to know if all three skins (Snow Day Syndra, Bard and Gnar) will have shared splashes? Just a curiosity, as they share the same name. Thanks again!
: Hi again! We took your idea for the ombré and added some purple to the ends of her pigtails! :D
Sorry for the late reply! Her hair looks **amazing** right now! I'm so happy & satisfied with the final result. Thanks for considering the feedback and taking the time to reply :[)
: A note about The Harrowing
Does that mean that we now have the possibility of getting Shadow Isles/The Harrowing mist lore events any time of the year? Like we got Bilgewater a while ago? If so, I completely support and look forward to this change, not having it restricted to a week in october is really great.
