I feel like people in these comments don't understand the difference between "bursty" and "assassin". Recommending Veigar as an "assassin" is absurd. Assassins are defined by their ability to chase, evade, and use mobility to their advantage rather than just raw stats. Veigar does not do that; he has no mobility to speak of and would probably just see no play in this mode whatsoever, as he would be too easy to kill. I see most people complaining that Nocturne and Yi are not in here. I would be inclined to agree, they make more sense as assassins than Kennen or Evelynn do, to be honest. (Kenn and Eve are both champions whose mobility consists of a single temporary speed buff? I have a feeling they will be getting wrecked in this mode as well as they have very few ways to chase or escape.) Anyways, I won't be playing this mode much, since I don't like assassins anyways, but I just thought I'd weigh in for what it's worth.

But it does deal more damage to squishies that are ahead of them in levels. That's the point of the change from Flat Pen to Lethality; it scales with the enemy's level. "The current formula is 0.4X + [((0.6X * Y)/18) = Flat Penetration Amount], where X is Lethality and Y is target champion level." It might not do more per point than Flat Pen, even to higher level squishies, but it is also cheaper per point than Flat Pen, and has other synergies such as Duskblade. And it is much healthier than Flat Pen against lower level squishies, heaven knows. And maybe the numbers aren't perfect, but I think the idea is wonderful.

Heya, remember me? Well, I tested out the PBE today after re-installing the whole client (obviously not Doom Bots since it's not online at the moment), and lo and behold, the moment I got into a game, my computer crashed again in the same way. I did some digging, and I believe it's an issue with my graphics card. I'm not really sure on how to fix it or even what's going wrong, so I guess I won't be playing PBE. :C In fact I haven't even tested it with the Live servers so I might just not be able to play league at all. But I just wanted to let you know that it was NOT Doom Bots that crashed my computer. :P
: Having flat pen scale with the enemy's level is an improvement, but the Lethality stat also fails to provide real clarity: since the amount of armor pen you get varies with each target, the number indicated on the relevant items feels arbitrary. The average player is going to be unlikely to understand exactly what 15 or 20 Lethality means, and the complex relationship between Lethality and armor pen, and armor pen and damage amplification, means it's impossible to see at a glance exactly what impact the stat will have, unlike stats like attack damage, attack speed, cooldown reduction, etc. I understand that assassins need their own distinct itemization, and Lethality helps with that, but in the end I don't think the stat, or flat armor pen, should really exist. Making assassins dependent on a stat that gets extra-countered by stacking armor will inevitably make them more binary, and personally I'd rather build more raw AD instead. I feel it would be better if AD assassin items focused on AD, cooldown reduction and movement speed, which the new items partially achieve by giving out-of-combat MS.

Saying you have "15 Lethality" means different things depending on who you are attacking, which is difficult to convey precisely in a simple manner that can be understood in just a glance. But, I think a short description of Lethality on any Lethality item, explaining in very simple terms "It makes you do more damage against opponents with less armor" is good enough. Any player who does not know what Lethality is will be able to read that and know what the stat does, even if they don't know the exact numbers behind it.

I have not tried anything besides Doom Bots since I logged on last, no, I will go ahead and test that out! I will also reinstall my client, just in case that is the problem. Thanks so much for the suggestions!

I posted this in the Bugs section, before I realized that this thread existed. Sorry for the double report, Rioters! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I logged onto the PBE to test out the Doom Bots mode earlier today, it was my first time logging onto the PBE in quite a while. I did so right after the 2-hour maintenance (at about 4:30 pm EST or so). I got into a game, selected champ, runes, masteries, etc. Then, as the game was loading, my computer froze up on the loading screen. I could not alt-tab to another window, I could not ctrl-alt-del to bring up any menus, could not move my mouse, all the things you would expect from a frozen computer. So I hard reset, launched PBE again, and it started updating again. I thought, well this makes sense. I did update my PBE while the maintenance was ongoing, and then launched it without updating after the maintenance, so it seemed logical that most likely, that was what had caused my computer to freeze up. Now, this is a separate complaint altogether, but I started to queue up for another game and was informed that "My account had patterns of leaving or afking games and was now in a low-priority queue". What? As I said before, I hadn't logged into the PBE for months, this being my first game in those said months, and when I did I almost never quit or afk'd games. Certainly not enough to warrant a low-priority queue, surely? Or has leaverbuster been updated without my being aware to punish people after only one disconnect? If so, that seems unfair to people whose games crash or whose internet connection is unstable. ESPECIALLY considering how often the PBE crashes for everyone. Anyways, back on topic. I queued into another game, picked champ, masteries and runes, chatted with team a bit, then loaded into game. This time, the loading screen finished up and I got onto the Rift. The very first thing I noticed was that the audio was very scratchy, with (quiet) static-like pops. Almost like a record player. I messaged my team to ask if it was just me, and indeed it was only me. I shrugged, and got on with the game, only to have my computer freeze in exactly the same way as the first time as soon as the opposing Doom Bots (I believe they were Lux and another character I forget) arrived in lane. I had exactly enough time to use one ability on them as Brand, and then I couldn't move my mouse, alt-tab out, ctrl-alt-del did nothing, et cetera. I am not sure if this is a problem for anybody else (it doesn't seem to have been posted yet, as far as I saw). And I understand that problems that are not common or reproducible are not a priority for Riot to fix. That is to say, I understand that a Riot employee is probably not going to reply to this with any sort of solution besides telling me "It's your computer's fault". Which I don't think it is, because I can play League of Legends on my computer just fine, and I have never had it freeze my computer like this before. Even the PBE has worked fine for me, and I've almost never crashed out of it. This leads me to believe that it's something about the Doom Bots game mode, but I don't know what, and because I don't know what, I probably won't get help. It's a shame because I would love to play this mode and I hope dearly that I don't have the same problem when they release it on the main servers. If anybody else has had this problem or knows a solution to it, I would be immensely grateful for your assistance. And to any Riot Employees, if you help me fix this problem that is probably not a priority for you to fix, I will be even more grateful as I know you probably have better things to be doing with your time. : Hi Johnny, I'm Snake. I had this problem (everything is same, only hard reset helped me out), at first try at new doom bots. I tough its only for me. I my pc have a problem, but happy to see, not. My pc is a lot stronger (i7 3770 with water cooling, gtx 970, 8gb ram etc, have over 500gb free space, and strong internet 130down, 20upload speed). So riot cant say the pc have problem. I tested out with heaven, other games and live server in lol, its not chrashed. But, i haví the freeze after everybody at 100% before i logged in, (or i could logged in but cant see). After reset my pc, and start lolpbe with administrator i could log into game and end it. Idk whats fixed it, maybe administrator start? Maybe, but i wont say it for sure.

: personally, i have only had the client do as you described twice, first time was after clicking the "Done" button while i was switching my summoners/editing masteries, and i found multiple people on this forum reporting the same problem, and second time was when the timer on the "Pick Preferred Champion" phase hit 0. Riot has responded though about how this is on their radar and they are trying to fix it as soon as possible

Ezreal? Yasuo? Riven? ...Urgot? :P Any of those can be and are played as ad mids. I mean I guess you could say yasuo is kind of assassin-y, but he's more of a melee ad carry than an assassin. Assassins don't have the dps he has, generally speaking. I mean if you're saying all ad mid laners are assassins, then you're wrong. If you're just saying you want him to be a non-assassin ad mid laner, well then you're entitled to such desires.

Yeah but the weird thing is that some leaps aren't affected by cc until they land (except displacements) and others are completely stopped mid-leap. For example, tristana's freaking rocket jump, if she starts it before someone lands cc on her, she keeps going until she lands. Kha leap I don't believe works that way for some reason. I have been thwarted as morgana many times this way by tristana.

People are saying his ult would be gamebreaking if it rewound the game timer, but I don't think so. From leaks I've heard, it's supposed to send the whole map 4 seconds back in time. That wouldn't be particularly bad. You could waste it on giving Karthus two ults or something, which is just dumb cause then you're wasting two ults for what, maybe one or two deaths? Unless you do it after a teamfight, in which case, it's a bit harder to have both ults up and both champions alive after a team fight. To use it really effectively would take a lot of skill in decision-making and map awareness, because while it might help one part of the map, it might screw up another part of your team. Saving bot lane from dying could cost top lane a kill, for example. Using it at the right TIME is critical. :^) Obviously it could be used to troll like Bard's ult, but honestly, everyone was worried about trolls being rampant after Bard, and I haven't seen one troll Bard. Lots of bad Bards, sure, cause he's hard to play; but no trolls. And if someone wants to troll, they don't need a new champion for it. Pick Anivia, or Bard, or Trundle, or Kalista. Saying he shouldn't have this ability because it enables trolling is silly when trolling has already been enabled for quite some time.

Hmm...yeah, I do believe it's fake. The grammar errors combined with the obvious bad champion design here, plus lack of a passive, makes me think someone obviously faked this.
: Lux is just the champion I play when I have a Zed, LeBlanc, Akali, etc in lane. She's actually one of the best mages when it comes to beat assassins. But think about champions like Vel'Koz or the aforementioned Anivia, who have slower cc and not that high burst.
Necroooo! Well with Anivia or Vel'koz, you just need to predict where they'll be. Which isn't hard honestly; if a lee sin jumps on you with a q, he'll be right on top of you, so use your cc right on top of yourself. If Zed shadows to you, then he'll either be shadowing away after a trade (in which case you're not in much danger unless he ulted you) or he'll be on top of you. Then unload everything else while they're cc'd. With lux it's a bit easier since she has a pretty big hitbox with her q, and anivia and vel'koz have harder to hit hard cc, but honestly if you play it right they can't do much against you. All you gotta do is land that hard cc. My point is, yes, champions with a dash or blink are easier to play, but they are not inherently better than others. You just have to position better with the less mobile champions. So yes, dashy champs are punished less for poor positioning, but then, if you keep playing the mobile champs you'll never learn proper positioning and you'll never be able to play really well.

I don't think dashes are too unbalanced. You just have to out-think your opponent if they have dashes or blinks. I play dashless, blinkless characters a lot, like {{champion:15}} , {{champion:21}} , {{champion:22}} , or {{champion:99}} . Some of these have cc, some don't. Let's say I'm Lux against a Zed mid. Beating him is not difficult, you just have to be more careful. Think through the use of your skills more. Poke him with your Lucent Singularity, which is much harder to dodge. Save your q for when he jumps on you; make sure you use it soon enough that he doesn't kill you and before the cd on his blink comes back up. Then let's assume you're both 6, and he jumped you with his ulti. Your q will probably hit him, he has no dodge. And when it does, take a few steps out of his range and unload everything on him. You'll be low health, most likely, but he'll be at least as low and possibly dead (lux ult does stupid damage). The general idea is to bait them into using their dash cooldown unwisely and then punish them for their mistake. One thing I DO agree with is that hard cc should interrupt dashes. That just makes sense. I've been thwarted many a time by Tristana's stupid rocket jump, hitting her with Morg q just after she jumps and watching her jet off to safety. But otherwise, dashes going through walls makes as much sense as ranged autoattacks going through walls or skillshots going through walls. I don't see a problem there.

Yes, I can confirm this too! I was in a custom SR game with just a warwick bot against me, I decided to ult so clone could tank a jungle camp for me and after disappearing, I never reappeared, and several seconds later was disconnected from the crashed game. :P

Yes, I think his autos apply on-hit effects after death, since whenever I see Tiamat/Hydra built on him it procs. So it should also apply botrk, frozen mallet and rage. Idk about furor.

This is going to be hilarious. Honestly I didn't like the Ascension game mode that much, I played 5 games before it got old, but I did enjoy hexakill (it was actually happening when I first joined league and I didn't realize it was a temporary event!), and having 6 extra people on a map should be even more absurd than having 2 extra people! And in response to people who comment about live server players disliking this, I don't think they will hate it. Perhaps everyone is hoping for URF to come again, and it probably will, but just because it's NOT URF doesn't mean it's bad. :P

I agree, if he stated his opinion in a manner that wasn't entirely offensive to anyone who doesn't hold his viewpoint he might not get so many downvotes :P And I actually agree with him on Doom Bots being hard. But Doom Bots was meant to be hard and I enjoyed it because it was harder than normal bots. It makes winning all the more rewarding; beating an opponent that is grossly over-buffed is more fun than beating one that is evenly matched, and even if you lose it's obvious it wasn't a fair match, so you can't be that mad. Unless you're this guy, I guess xD

: I want to say that I've tried out her new kit. However, I feel there's issues with it, mainly her W (Astral Infusion) I feel like...it's too strong and provides little setbacks when going to mid game and onwards. I'll explain mid game as early game it's...somewhat balanced. You see, without any cooldown items/masteries/runes, 1st level gots a 4 second cooldown and 3 second cooldown at max. By the time mid game comes around, I have these following items Giants Belt - This item will, eventually turn into a Warmogs. Not only am I buying this for the huge health, but I'm buying it for the passive as well. Mobility Boots - Helps make my passive be more effective should I beam back to base AP cooldown items - Of course, I'll get as many as I can as well as buy other support/ap items to help with the situation, but getting at least one should do the job nicely. Now here's where I explain the problem. With the Warmogs, 20-30% of cooldown, and some ap items, I can easily heal my wounded target litterally every second. That's right. With that much cooldown, my heal is off a 1 second cooldown before I do it again. And the increase of health items helps me make sure I stay with my team till I'm actually low enough to warrent me to get back to base. But, by then, 2 or three of the enemies have been killed and my team is either chasing down the other 2 or is pushing a lane. There was very little concern for my behalf cause I knew I was safe. This new W of hers may have some drawback early game, as soraka doesn't have enough health to consistantly heal her adc at a time, but that drawback flies right out the window the moment she begins to build more cooldown items and health items. Currently, I have no problems with the rest of her kit. Her Q (Starcall). I likw how this is more skill based, and how this helps heals her. I could harass effectively well and at a safe difference. Equinox I also like.It becomes more useful in mid game, but still gets its uses early game, as the adc can effectively engage on rooted/silenced enemy. I also like her new passive. No problems with it thus far. [Suggestions] - for her heal, make it so that, at 4th or 5th level, it cost a bit more health, or increase the cooldown.
I'm not sure if this has changed since I last played Soraka, or if you just didn't look closely enough at the ability, but...her heal costs % of her max health. That means if you build warmogs you are getting more health regen and more health, but her ability to heal does not increase at all. 4000 health soraka can heal just as many times as 1000 health soraka before running out of health, the difference is that 4000 health soraka wasted tons of gold on health items. The HP regen passive of warmog might help cancel that out a little, but only over long periods of time. Soraka is hardly more useful in the heat of battle with a warmog's than without one. The only reason it might help is if you do not perform any heals, and the enemy team focuses you before your adc. And if they did that they would be stupid, so...it probably won't happen. And if it does you got lucky.
