Haven't tried the skin myself, but I played against it a few times in PBE matchmaking and have this complaint: I keep thinking Rakan's new skin is Xayah! They just look so similar, I can't tell them apart! I stay out of Rakan's melee range, and suddenly feathers with tons of damage come out of him?? Wtf is going on? Oh, it was actually star guardian xayah, not Rakan! I played 3 games against them, and this still happens multiple times each game! Is it just me, or is it the skins? I'm a supp main with 3k games on live server, so I think I've seen Xayah and Rakan enough times in my life that I should be able to tell them apart easily, but that's not the case with the SG skins.

This makes it look like she is slipping on ice or moonwalking. But for some reason the right foot syncs up better than the left foot. This is the first thing I noticed when I started a game with her. The same happens when you send a clone with W! The clone will have a fast leg animation, while actually moving pretty slowly (with only tier 1 boots for example). -- Her brown legs and her tail look pretty bland, because they're just a single pastel color. I get that they're supposed to be slightly transparent, like Aurelion Sol's tail, but with a star pattern visible inside of them. But they still look too bland. Maybe draw some pretty "patterns" with a faint glow on those parts? They could draw the outline of her boots she wears in the base SG skin. That would give them some complexity so they don't look like a single color. After playing her some more today, I noticed a few more things: - When the third hit of her W is ready, the green particles on her head are pretty bad, because: 1. They're wayy too bright and large, they completely distract from everything else. On other skins it's much more subtle. 2. It looks like there are FIVE light sources on her head, like in the base skin. But this skin only has THREE antennae on her head: The star and two wings. Please match it to THREE lights, one on each of the star and wings! It's very obvious that this mismatches and makes no sense, literally the first thing I noticed. 3. While walking, the the light particles on her head are bouncing a lot, like in her base skin where she has "hair antennae". But in this skin, she has no bouncy parts on her head. The star and wings move a little, but they don't bounce like the particles do. Please stop the bounce and share position with the hair star/wings instead! This is important because a support Neeko will run around with a fully charged W like 90% of the time! Consider this her base state! https://i.imgur.com/O4JcO3Q.png[/img] In conclusion: - 3 instead of 5 light sources, make them share position with the star and wings, make them not bounce all over the place, and maybe change the color from this neon green to a more yellow or even pink tone. EDIT: I started a new game right after this, and it looks much better now! Maybe what I saw was a bug? In that case, it's a bug report. https://i.imgur.com/4lv598h.png[/img] Now to her passive, the shape shifting: - When she uses it to change into an ally, there is no afterglow on her. IS THIS A BUG? To clarify: On the base skin, changing into an ally draws "green energy veins" on your character model, and then they slowly fade away over 2 seconds. This means if you change inside of a bush, and immediately walk out of it with your new form, enemies can tell that you just transformed, because you still have those green vein things on you! Being able to see that as a player is also important, because I want to wait inside of a bush until the markings are gone! It seems that the skin has no indication that she just transformed. Looks like a bug to me that gives a game advantage. (though I hate how ugly the green vein things are on the base skin, so good riddance!) - When she transforms with her passive, it plays a super loud star guardian sound. Can enemies hear this? Sounds like a large disadvantage, because it alerts everyone nearby that you just transformed, with a very distinct and loud noise. Homeguards: While the homeguards is very nice, maybe there is too much glow on her character model. I can't even make out her model anymore. Tone the glowing down a little bit?

IMPROVE HER SPLASHART FIX HER FACE Not trying to troll or be mean, but this can't be said enough. It looks UNSETTLING and LIFELESS and just derpy in general. If you change only one thing, add PUPILS. The eyes are the window to a person's soul, or so they say. If you can't look into them, it's creepy. And in order to look "into" them, you need pupils. The way it currently looks, my first thought is she has some kind of parasite in her eyeballs that made her blind. Yes, star-shaped pupils work in anime, but clearly not in this splash-art, as is evident by the feedback in this forum, twitter, reddit, youtube, and so on. Especially the large fairy wings on her back. The bi-colored clones are also awesome.

I noticed that there was an update to the Pyke skin today. - The blade is now less opaque and looks more like a clear glass shard - The hardlight on the shoulderpads got the same treatment and also has lightning effects running through it - Pyke's right eye leaves a trail of cigarette smoke - Some colors were tuned, Pearl White chroma looks more like a shade of blue now for example I have to say it looks much nicer now than before, keep doing what you've been doing there. However: - The smoke coming from his right eye comes out of his forehead, the position is wrong. - Ult stingers are too quiet, I just hear a drum or two. - Chromas need their VFX to be consistently recolored, see https://boards.pbe.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/client-new-features-feedback/hZN87oRs-pbe-bugs-feedback-thread-project-chromas?comment=0005 - Needs a new homeguard / run animation. As others said, make him surf the snake from his backport, OR turn his hardlight blade into some kind of vehicle he can ride. Like a hoverboard that goes under his feet. - Q charge-up could be more unique. It looks clean, but too bland for being a legendary's signature ability. - I have no idea what the current Ctrl+5 blade toggle does. It seems every second time, it makes a black bar run through the blade, and every other time it does nothing at all. This needs to be changed, make it something cool instead. - The backport snake should stop becoming transparent (it happens 2 times during the recall, one time in the middle of it and one time at the end). Or alternatively: Instead of fading the opacity of the snake to zero, fade it into becoming a wireframe model (the color of the wireframe depends on the chroma). Then after the fade, the wireframe could be compressed into a string and beamed up into the air / ground. Or it could explode and fade away. In any case, this could be made to fit his lore (he is or was in a digital simulation, I think?), while actually looking good instead of dissatisfying.

: PBE Bugs & Feedback Thread: PROJECT Chromas!
The chromas work well on the project skins. That's because the "hard light" makes them very easy to color theme. However, they need to change the color of all ability effects, **consistently**. For example, right now the Pyke Q is chroma'd while you charge it, but the projectile it shoots is still the base orange. So while using a green chroma, the spear is green while charging, but then instantly turns orange when thrown. The following is still red/orange and needs to be recolored: - Autohits: The trail the blade leaves in the air after each swing is still orange, even though the blade is not. - Q: projectile effects and Q tap, this one needs to be changed the most. - W: The snake is still orange, but I see pyke becomes a hologram and changes color to his chroma now. Also, the shark fins that alert enemies that you are nearby are still orange. - E and R: It's all base colors. - /joke and /laugh: both effects use hard light, but are not recolored. - /dance: This one IS recolored. But some colors don't fit well. For example, the pearl white chroma uses a red hue for the speaker color. And the pink chroma has way too much saturation on the speakers. I think the speakers/guitar should always have the same color as pyke's blade. If the VFX are not **consistently **recolored, I'd rather not use a chroma at all. They look nice when you load into the game, but as soon as you start using skills, it's just so dissappointing how the chroma colors clash with the effects. Is it like that because the chromas are still under development, and will they be fixed before release?
