I literally want to afk if the enemy team gets elder. it's way too strong. People have enough buffs in this game mode they dont need to deal 50% bonus true damage at 6 minutes. it's just boring

> URF mode inherently, desperately needs bans. Simply adding 10 bans per game (before the random champion selection) would pretty much solve all major issues I have with the mode. We can draw parallels to Nexus Blitz, which is just as "crazy" and dominated by a few key champions. The difference is that you can always ban these champions, leading to a much tamer metagame in which experimentation is not as severely crippled.

The cannon literally makes the death count hit 20 in under 5 minutes its so bad. Literally unplayable
: 1. Cannon noise is never-ending and annoying. I know it's supposed to sound like Chinese New Year fireworks but it's just horrible to listen to constantly. 2. Random champs (AR) does not fix the problem. It's just ARAM where the team with better random champions always wins. Constant dodges, etc. 3. I suggest having URF mode for the first half of then event then switching over to ARURF for the second half. This way people can play the champs they want for awhile. The meta champs will get spammed. And then ARURF comes in, giving people a break from the meta champs due to randomization. 4. Fizz is overpowered and untargetable. He needs nerfs.

We don’t want to heavily control/balance URF, since we think having those extreme moments is what makes it fun and exciting to come back to over and over. There’s a world where we could get the mode balanced, but some of the changes we’d have to make would ruin a lot of the fun fantasy of those particular champions. (Imagine WuKong in URF but we have to remove the CDR from his W so that he can’t be repeatedly sneaky. It might be balanced at that point, but we believe that takes out a lot of what would make WuKong fun in URF.) We’d rather keep it exciting and fun when you get some of those champions! We think a lot of the changes we’ve made to ARURF+ should make it a much more fun experience. Some of the best/worst champs aren’t as extreme, but still have cool moments. And with the shorter game length, if you get a bad champ or match up, the game is over quick so you can move on to the next one. Also the Catapult and objectives change the power dynamics a bit, so hopefully we’ll see some creative new ways to play the mode. We’re committed to keep bringing the best possible URF to all of you, and we understand the desire for non-random from many players. But given all the considerations, we still believe that ARURF is the best possible URF. We hope you have fun with the new ARURF+!

It's weird how vocal the community is but you guys insist on producing a game YOU find enjoyable, not what your customers find enjoyable. Riot is turning into another company that doesn't listen to the players or pay attention to the declining playerbase and impliments what THEY want which has been the demise of many gaming companies, and for a company with one game I'd definitely not recommend taking that route but I'm just one customer on your board. The declining playerbase and constant outcry on forums by a huge portion of players speaks for itself. This seasons urf is by far the least enjoyable I've played. I don't know what exactly is different but my death recaps are always around 0.1 second. There is literally 0 outplay potential and it's just become a champion select casino with "open" if you realize the other team won champion select rolls. I've played roughly 40 games so far and I've had 1 or 2 that wasn't just 1 team steamrolling the other. Before urf was randomized, yes the champion diversity was lower but I remember the games lasting longer and the fights being more fair because it was 5 OP vs 5 OP not 1 OP killing 5 meh champions and literally feeling like you can't even play the game as opposed to watch it. I'm definitely not purchasing the urf club this time, not because of randomization but idk what is going on this time. The death recaps need to be higher than 0.1 second for anyone to have fun (besides the 1 person terrorizing the map and killing everyone in 0.1 second.) If urf goes on live as it is, I won't be participating. I think the cannon has made the game snowball so much harder too because people are just feeding faster than ever possible before. If you lose lane you lose HARD in under 5 minutes and there's no point in playing after those 5 mins. People don't log onto league to play 5 minute games. we want 15-20 minute games. edit: I've literally had a death recap that said 2k+ damage in 0.00 seconds (from 1 champion). Why even play the game at that point? I'm more useful sitting in base. If you guys want people to have fun playing lower tier champions you have to add a ban phase before the rolls of each champion. Random and champion diversity is dope and fun I can get into it, but it's not fun when 1 team gets the clear RNG advantage of zed and fiora while you have yasuo and caitlyn.
: Herald is too much. Games are too fast to be enjoyable
it literally takes 2 seconds to use the cannon and stop the herald and kill it in like .5 seconds with spam abilities lol. honestly the dragon is waaaaaaaay stronger than the herald
: ARURF tower plates
I've had games where I collect gold from bot tower all 5 plates and then 3 or 4 plates from top as well before they fall off. It's good they fall off early because people are inting faster than ever before with no cd on teleport.

i wish they'd just let both teams pick their op's instead of letting one team get lucky with an op or 2 and shit stopping because the other team got awful picks. i just played a game and went 70-7 on the winning team it wasnt even fun :/

Honestly guys this feels like a fail. I don't understand the purpose of making it random. You're asking people to play champs that you know aren't fun to play in URF. There's a reason people play the same champs over and over again and avoid other ones. People avoid playing champions who aren't fun to play and play the ones they enjoy whether they're op or perceived to be op is irrelevant considering this post says you're goal isn't to balance the game mode. Let people play who they want to play in their favorite game mode. At least before it felt like everyone was playing the "op" champions which I personally felt like is 80% of them, but avoiding the boring champs that just aren't fun in this game mode regardless of their strength. It seemed like everyone had a chance to win when people had their choice in champion now everyone's complaining and blaming champ select without even playing. People are gonna play this game mode because it's urf, and they're gonna play champions they don't want to play. It's counter intuitive for a game and is a bad idea. Let us have some fun. Literally the only difference between AR urf and regular urf is that in AR urf you have 1 team that is CLEARLY superior as compared to regular urf where both teams had a chance. this is coming from someone with over 2k ARAM games on an account with all champions unlocked. Urf is just not fun with randoms on summoners rift. It's awful. I'll be using my 2nd aram only account until this mode goes back to the fun version. It's honestly not even fun when you're the team with the clear advantage. Going 70-25 is boring even as the winning team.

I have seen people do that before as well, no clue why but I'm typically the one trying to soak xp instead of help the team fight because I want to hit 6 not get an assist for 50 gold when I can have an entire minion wave to myself. The way xp works in hexakill makes it not worth grouping with your team to fight and potentially foster a hexakill. Instead it's more worth it to stay as far away from your team as possible. This is why howling abyss would solve that problem as everyone on both sides would get relatively close to the same XP depending on which team has more kills, OR they could do something like they did in ascension where everyone levels at an equal pace.

I almost feel like this game mode would be more exciting on howling abyss, maybe that's just because I've played a lot of ARAM but an ARAM game of 5 is way more fast paced than a twisted treeline hexakill with 6 which isn't how it should be.

I don't know something about is just... I hate to say it, but it's actually a boring game mode. And I'm like the biggest advocate for alternative game modes to the original summoners rift. I spam all the featured game modes when they're out and I play tons of ARAM but this game mode doesn't really make me want to requeue after I win a game. It's just really dull compared to every other featured game mode and even in comparison to the standard permanent game modes it feels flat.

: When a skin hits live (~2 weeks after arriving on the PBE) and can be obtained there, the Rioters who worked on those skins don't go to the PBE for feedback anymore. Live boards and Reddit provide more visibility in a larger community (also with more Rioters). We have other things that are more urgent to test right now, such as the game modes, Taric, the Diana skin (and the mage item updates which were already reverted but still important this patch)

I agree this skin is a little lackluster for 1350, but it's genuinely a good skin. I think 975 is more appropriate, I know she has a unique back animation and sound effects but it doesn't seem like enough to justify the price. I feel like some of the SFX don't really give you that heavy hitting feeling like her base skin does. Maybe make the sound effects more intense or something? They just feel a little tired for how heavy hitting diana is.

I've been purposefully trying to use all the 1 ip skins of recent updates for this reason.
: I just want the logic behind it, i understand some cheese can be made by infinitely tanking towers, so why not scale towers as well with more attack speed, that would be hilarious yet realistic in this sense. It seems as if the shield nerf was not very well thought through just flat 50% reduction lol... if you do nerfs like this yet zyra can also infinitly tank towers with plants and malzahar so why dont they get nerfed too? Fizz doesnt have a shield but his damage negation was also brought up too so should fizz's e only work 50% for a quick nerf at something annoying to face? I dont think they should or any nerfs should be made, the point of urf was for complete brokenness and riot trolling i remember the first time it came out. As annoying as it is being killed by machine gun evelynn or helicopter hecarim, its always fun being able to outplay them with infinite mobility jarvan or something of that sort?

I guess you're right towers could be changed but it's probably a lot more work and the shielding really can make the game feel unplayable against certain champs like late game riven.

We haven't even played it yet lol. They will probably consider adding some of the items into summoners rift or could even make it permanent once they actually get the chance to test it out, but nobody has played it yet how could they make it a permanent game mode before seeing if anyone even likes it?

: I messed around with Bard's tunnels a little bit
I love Bards tunnels. When I first saw them I thought they were a little too good but after using them I can see the utility between both teams offered. In my opinion he's a great jungler/bot lane support but using him I had trouble roaming the entire map all game. I'm also terrified of when this champ hits servers because his ult is just so trollable.
