: Taric is pretty good with tear and presence of mind Kayle aint a healer Actual healers are super good _if_ you build them properly, Nidalee can easily act as a very strong healer on top of a poke champs with an occasional execute here and there by going Athenes/ardent with aery and then just generic AP items
Many ARAM champs are stronger than you'd think. It just requires proper theory crafting with runes and item builds
: Stop snowball from proccing spell effects like ludens, scorch, comet and aery. It was introduced to reduce the power of poke comps by giving power to engage champions, but now its doubling as a very strong poke tool and its frustrating to play against with 5 ludens on the enemy team. Another problem area is the disproportion in the power of healing and shielding, its unfair for healers like nami, soraka, taric and even kayle and nidalee to feel so discouraged to spend mana to support their team when shield are so much more powerful and cost effective. Thats not to say that heals should be buffed, but rather other defensive tools should be brought in line.

: The only reason thats true is because they nerfed the health threshold for the warmogs passive.
The issue is that it takes too much HP to work, that's always been the issue even prenerf. Sure warmorgs works as a last item/5th item choice but other than that it would require to build other HP items which will in turn make you terrible in short term fights since youre base heal will be 100 while costing 10% HP and a chunk of your mana each time. You'll run oom before you can heal someone and you cant heal high amounts in teamfights either that and with the reasons above you're useless on her if you dont get your healing items. It's very simple being a good enchanter on aram. Build all three healing items, Ardent,Mikaels and Redemption. Get Presence of Mind + Ing Hunter and if you can hit your shit/have nice dmging spells like Nami/Sona/Karma you can use Athenes as well.
: I don’t know about you, but I can’t tell you the number of times my team has gotten steam rolled by a one-item Yi. The nature of ARAM makes it nearly impossible to have reliable hard cc. Yi was already pretty strong on ARAM (even before his ult reset was added). Removing the reset just makes it so that the team without a Yi doesn’t get repeatedly Yi’d until they lose or ff.
It's honestly rare for a teamcomp to have no cc nor any exhausts on top of the enemies having said reset champions. It's pretty hard for them to do anything in the first place considering they are supposed to be popping off in small fights/flanks, not in a teamfighting environment. If you can't actually do anything against reset champs in most of your games you/your team are probably not playing the teamfights right {{sticker:slayer-jinx-wink}}
: is there a reason you love mages so much and hate every other champions class? as a player who enjoys playing melee champions and other melee tanks/supports, I'm not happy with these changes, mages are already the best champions in the game and you keep buffing them directly or indirectly, it's absurd. the new "assassin" items are fun but gimmicky at best (Kayn/Leblanc/Zed aren't very good in ARAM, giving their gimmicks to everyone won't accomplish much), the nerfs to dark harvest hurts, the removal of warmogs hurts, how are melee champions supposed to push the minion wave, start fights healthy, get kills and aces and take objectives down in a reasonable amount of time now? the only thing these changes accomplish: mages are even more powerful than before, and their now only counter (rip tanks) the healers are even more powerful than before. incoming 80% win rate Ziggs/Sona? yay...
ghostwalker literally gives any champ the ability to kayn E coupled with fizz E, combine that with youmuus and edge of night as well as duskblade you can demolish people super easily. Imagine rengar R'ing then ghostwalking in
: building warmorgs will require building other HP items which in turn forces you to at least get 2 non healing items which will make you 1 Deplet your mana insanely fast and even more importantly 2. will make your heal's nonexistent. Yes they are spammable but they are weak as hell. The most optimal way of playing her is with presence of mind + ING hunter with athenes, ardent, redem and mikaels
Anyone getting warmorgs/spirit will end up being dead weight having no proper healing, no mana sustain and no dmg,
: Soraka abuses the heck out of Warmogs. Her heal takes her health and mana. You can get mana back/more max mana more easily than health, and warmogs completely negates the health portion. Lets her heal waaaaaay more than she otherwise could.

: I'm semi-happy with the changes, though i think DH's strength won't ever go away. It'll still be the best pick for many champs because of the dmg to towers. Comet just can't do that. Neither can Aery, and it's even worse i think, as it isn't AoE. Some keystones would need significant buffs to be viable (Phase Rush, PtA, Electrocute, Grasp, and any Inspiration tree). Also, the problem is not just with DH. The whole tree is what gives you strength over the others - without the need to even try. For other runes and keystone runes to be viable, they'd need lower CDs, and then DH wouldn't have to be nerfed. While many many many runes have those, eyeballz and hunter don't. They give you momentum right at the beginning because they are balanced for SR, where kills are scarce. Warmog was the ARAM version of Ardent, with some randomness calculated as not every composition had tanks, but it was a necessary item for any tank. I'm happy that it'll be gone, making it a harder decision for any tank to choose items. My champ pool mainly consists of mages and ADCs so you can see why it was a pain in the back. I don't really understand the experience part. I hope those new items will bring something unique to the gameplay, i can't see them yet on surr@20. Good to have special items like TT has. (starter items and faster versions excluded) Thank you for addressing the worst of ARAM.
Not every keystone has to be viable on ARAM, the only ones that are viable are currently speaking: Comet (High ranged mages; Aery (DoT champs and enchanters are aite with it); DH (most broken rune and best on 80% of non tank champs); Fleet footwork and lethal tempo as well as Aftershock You've got a good keystone for *every* champion on aram so long as you are good at finding the most optimal build path as well as runes for each champ
: That won't stop me from going DH Thresh still. (Also rip Soraka)
Soraka doesnt even use warmogs well. The tanks are the issue
: The new assasin items seem like a decent approach but ghostwalkers making you untargetable as well as stealthed would make it much too hard to counterplay assasins (especially cause aram's are clown fiestas+ you dont really have designated tanks/sups) but the even bigger issue are their cooldowns. with ING hunter in the game you cant make those have 60 Seconds CD on aram. I suggest making ghostwalkers be out of combat at the very least
oh and btw commencing stopwatch should probably be lowered to 5/6 mins considering that games last shorter on ARAM

: Alright! This is some good stuff! As someone who spends more than half their time playing League in ARAMs, I have some thoughts/suggestions: 1. Dark harvest - I like the proposed change here. Most people don’t realize just how broken DH is on ARAM. I have numerous pentakills and even a double penta thanks to this broken rune. 2. Update to champ-specific abilities - There’s nothing quite like getting a Shyv in ARAM... rip your passive. Champs like Shyv, Kindred and Ivern, who rely jungle interaction to fulfill the full limits of their passives end up feeling left out in the cold (as do their teammates). I would suggest replacing these passives with either some basic stat buffs (e.g. melee champs receiving extra armor and MR). This helps people who play with these champs feel like their game is on a more level playing field. Still thinking of other ways to make these champs more relevant in ARAM. 3. Ability resets - With not much room to work with, if a champ with ability resets (Kat, Darius, Yi, Vayne, etc.) gets a kill, they can snowball out of control way too easily. Removing these resets would likely lead to a game that lasts a more normal length instead of a 9 minutes stomp fest. Again, love the take you are dedicating to improving ARAM. I’ll probably have more thoughts to come, but this is my initial take on the changes. Cheers, JB Follow-up: I just saw the 3 new items. They look OP and super fun! My guess is that they’ll likely need a slight nerf to not become 100% buy items on a large pool of champs.

Those champs are all meh at best on aram since they get hard countered by 1 exh/cc on aram. People tend to keep heavy CC champs on aram a lot so it's unlikely never playing against CC when you have yi/kat/vayne etc.
