: Draft Pick Champ Select Timing Improvements on PBE
For people With a main like me and defined champs in other lanes this is ideal, but what about people who "Autofill" and are clueless about a champ and use the time in champ select to ask or search out there builds and runes? Or for the players who like to change emotes and wards from game to game?
: Hiii, friends! Thank you all so much for leaving your feedback here and elsewhere! Everyone on the team is reading through the comments. Sorry for taking so long to respond here. As you can expect out of a tech-intensive skin like GGMF, there are a lot of bugs. o_O I don't get to make the decisions here, but I can act as an advisory source of information and at least bring these points to the decision-makers. With all that said, I wanted to provide a bit of context on some of the common points brought up in this thread (and other online sources). **"WTF is up with her face and neck in the splash art?!"** * You can expect to see an update to this in the next PBE deploy! Hopefully the changes feel better to ya'll. **"Her VO doesn't sound like Miss Fortune! And why all the sexual lines?"** * Unfortunately, we couldn't get base MF's voice actress for this skin, so that was unavoidable. As for all the sexualized lines, we actually got that same feedback during the process to tone down the seductive lines and add more of that fierce Captain Fortune vibe, so we ended up adding in more "vicious" and "cutthroat" lines for events that tend to play more often (e.g. Long Move, Attack). We honestly feel good about the current state of her VO in regards to capturing MF in this universe. **"These forms look like _chromas_, change the models!"** * Unfortunately, there are limitations that prevent us from changing the models at this stage. We can make minor tweaks to the textures however. **"Why does the jetpack VFX blink?"** * With the way the VFX is set up to play from the animation, this is an unavoidable side-effect. We managed to make this a little less noticeable at least! **"The animations are way too close to base!"** * Keeping the animations fairly close to base was a concession that we had to make early on in development. If a marksman is going to be able to transform an unlimited amount of times throughout the game with varying particles (as well as a very different silhouette with her shoulder-pieces, exo-suit, and guns), we have to make tough choices to keep consistency with Base MF in several areas to maintain the MF read. **"Change the in-game portraits to match with the splash!"** * There aren't any plans to do this at the moment, but I can check with the team and see what they think. If we can leverage Elementalist Lux's tech and iterate on the splash easily, then there's a possibility, but the timeline is still super tight. **"Bring her back into production and re-release her at the typical Ultimate skin price."** * Mr. Cactopus addressed that [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/82pel6/riot_should_bring_back_gun_goddess_mf_in/dvbvyiu/). **"Change her VO lines to be different per form."** * She actually does have unique VO lines per form! Since VO and Model are locked as always the same as splash art... Animations and/or clarity this has been a constant excuse on giving sub par feeling to otherwise awesome skins or to lock the colour scheme of a certain character(Leona's skins always yellowish VFX, Ace of Spades Ezreal blonde hair, Lancer Blitz pingu walk, Lancer Hecarim that it would had been better to give him a shorter Halberd, and not a Lance, if you kept that animation) but also having a lot of inconsistencies (SG Udyr totally different models that doesn't read like base Udyr, giving Debonair Ezreal other hair colours with chromas, Piltover Customs and BattleBoss Walk that totally reads like Blitzcrank unless you plan to introduce another metal golem champion) GGMF doesn't read clearly as MF with different animations? Even other MF that deviate more from standard with Base MF have different animations see SG (The other Ultimate and Legendary skins post new skin-quality-standards have different animations and still read like the champions see PROJECT and Star Guardian Legendaries and the rest of the Ultimates and even some of the last Epic Skins like SoulHunter Kayn, where Assassin Kayn aka Blue Kayn is RED) and if GGMF with different animations doesn't read like MF according to Riot team clarity-standards that means Skin team is doing a bad job compared to other skins with a similar price tag (Legendary-Ultimate) that or clarity team is overreacting.

: I personally think that Jarvan doesn't fit in with the dark star theme. I was expecting other champions like Rek'sai, Kassadin, Lissandra, Jhin, or even Asol. But generally, everything looks--alright. I personally think that the ult should be more thicc, and look more powerful and hard to get through. It just looks like glass. I also think his E needs more of a "void-like" aspect to it. It simply looks like a glowing stick with purple flames. Maybe add a black hole on the bottom of the flag.

: We didn't want to create a void in the center in case that would feel like a damaging AoE Zone ; u ; Same with the ult walls - they're supposed to look like terrain and not something that can passively damage you. Have you checked it out in game? The stars in the walls have this scroll-y effect as you move the camera around :)
I mean the effects are nice and very well done but sadly those effects would be more appreciated in a Cosmic Blade/Lance skin instead of a Dark Star. (Colour mainly)

Some particles of J4 scream Cosmic Lance instead of Dark Star: Clunky animations in AA ruin the skin in general. Ult and W do not seem DS enough. (As I said Before they seem out of a Cosmic VFX) The other DS skins have a darker tone with less white dots and more black dots. E+Q Combo seems weird thematically (Yeah the "Dark Hole" absorbs J4 but the objective is the enemy not you) Last and most important of all: Does it fits thematically? NO unless J4 is a Psycho secret monster Prince. (Lore update maybe?) The other DS skins are monsters/ non humans with weird tendencies in main lore (Vaarus is non-human due to the 1/3 Darkin Nature). While Cosmic skins are humanoids with clear goals which does not involve consuming/slaughter other beings. Some may say that Main world lore does not have an influence in skins worlds yeah, they are right but usually lore is used for inspiration as a base for skins.
: Swain Bug Thread
Not sure if it is a Bug or intended: Bilgewater Swain Recall has a Demonic Raven instead of a Demonic Parrot. His ultimate red overlap sometimes is so bright in Bilgewater skin it hurts the eyes.
: We were on the fence with Udyr -- he is from the Freljord, that's true, but when I look at him, 'frost' isn't really what comes to mind. On the other hand, Lissandra and Trundle were both slam-dunk ice champions, despite not having ice-themed skins. (And come to think of it, how could you possibly make Lissandra any *more* icy?)
You can have her transform herself or the enemy into a Xmas tree, or a present Box, she might not fit into Winter Wonder or Snow day, but she can fit in Workshop/Santa/Grinch themes well (and we have the case of Blackfrost Anivia where she is Ice over Ice there). And trundle can smash things with a present box.

: Love these modes that gives us free skins to use and especially since this mode has a limited pool so no Shacos, Hecarims or Sonas. The only sore part imo here is not being able to use our URF icons for the death animations

Hello! Regarding Lux interactions: I think those 2 forms need more special interactions because if you compare them to the rest they have no special interactions against any element and I feel they have too few lines for being the second form of E.Lux ( If they are not bugged) Dark: I think she has too few interactions to be a form with two paths, and more probabilities of ending as. I think it would be ideal if she had any kind of taunt/killing phrase against Light Champs/Skins: aka Lux, Leona, Diana? (Moonlight), Taric (Lorewise), Soraka (Starchild), Kayle, Aurelion (Star Forger), Arcligth and Justicar Skins. Wow jut noticed mostly Targon champions. Mystic: Maybe an interaction regarding champions/skins with mystic like powers: aka Lulu, Ryze, Ahri, Kindred, Bard, Tham?(River King Lore) (Basically the legend type champs and Lulu for pixie) , Mystic-like skins like the ones from Lunar Reveal, maybe April-fool skins.

Magma Lux has a dark red hair while fire Lux has a Orange-Yellow hair which is the colour on the video. Also the headpiece is the fire form (Magma headpiece has a spiky end on the lower side which is the inverted fire logo) Can't say anything about the back piece ornament.
: Hiya! ^-^ We're happy to see all of the hype around this lady! You're correct that the (Q) bind is the same across the board - this is for the sake of gameplay clarity. This is working as intended. However, we did want to keep with the thematic of each form, so you'll notice wind gusts, leaves, watery particles, etc. swirling around inside of the bindings. We toyed with several ways to interact with the forms, and what you're seeing on PBE is the final choice we decided to make, due to the replay options of the skin, the potential for discovery, and making choices that affect the outcome of your form. We don't plan on sharing the exact percentages for evolution, just that you'll gain elemental power from damaging enemies. It's paced based on a normal game, so that you'll have a chance to reach the forms you'd like, just not all at once. I do appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback, especially feedback that's critical and isn't sugarcoated. It's honestly the best feedback we can receive, and even if we can't/aren't making changes on something, we're happy to discuss reasoning. :)
Hmm then I think changing the colour and maintaining the model of the bind (alchemic circle) would be ok? Because is white in all forms and making it match with the colour of the dancing clones would be really nice.

I think its not necessarily an issue since only affects the owner of the Ultimate skin. Right? If the portrait for some reason changed for all the players that would be a serious problem of clarity.

I think is mostly for Mrs Clarity McClarence sake (in order to not confuse oponents and all that.) Also Under the Alchemic circle you can see particles of the element lux is, spinning around the rooted target, tho sometimes it fails to animate, from what I saw in a OFA.

This is an Idea regarding this ward: Why not making the ward to match the base element of the other champs like: Annie - Fire Ward Frejord Champs - Ice Ward Janna - Wind Ward Kennen -Storm Ward Lulu - Mystic Ward Shadow Islands Champs - Dark Ward Zyra/Taliyah - Nature Ward ETC And champs without a defined element like Rengar/Sona/MF Using the base ward.

My main concern is that the champion pool is Very Limited to: Ranged champs. Melee champs with invulnerability. At higher levels only champions with % health damage are viable. Also with higher HP pool in the bots, the assassin champs are worthless. In the past it does not matter which champion you had, at least you could fight properly the bots with the usual itemization, now we only race to build % health damage. __________________________ It does not matter the amount of armor/magic resist you have, at midlevels of gauntlet (ie 50) you will be obliterated by a simple Ezreal Q and that being a tanky champion like Mundo or Volibear with full defensive gear. It does not matter the amount of AD/AP you have, unless you build BotRK or Liandry's you will tickle the enemy bot. That being said, I don't mind more curses with the higher levels of difficulty, what I am concerned is that you need the entire team to take down a glass cannon Veigar with sufficient base health as to make Dr.Mundo cry and even with that he might wipe you because he had time to cast 1 Ult, 3 Q, 2 W and Ignite in the time the team took to kill him. ____________ I am talking as a Silver player who only wants to have fun in the gamemodes with whatever champion not only limiting myself with "the optimal champions to win"

Well true, the viable pool of champs are ranged and Melee champs with some kind of invulnerability/ranged ability, the rest are obliterated and therefore not viable.

Any champ with % health damage is good to fight the Bots with over 9000 life. So, Varus, Brand, Kog'Maw, Fizz, Tahm, Vayne are good picks, (idk if I forget someone) sad part is they need to build tanky or they will be obliterate by one ability of them. The worst champs that I saw were the ones who had a farming minigame scalling like Nasus, Thresh, Bard, Veigar, etc... they lack time to be of relevance.

Champions who need to farm are underpowered in this gamemode (15 minutes + whatever takes teemo to get there). Or thats my impression: Thresh, Bard, Nasus and Veigar (GP is fixed with the passive coins) if I forget another champ tell me. They need to farm, but the map pressure and the low gametime are unforgiving. Idk why lvl 1 Doombots seem at least to me harder than a lvl 59 or a lvl 100 Also Bugs: Pool Party Leona Dawn Bot showing normal leona skin in the loading screen.

Well i would say for thematic's sake put the Little Devil's shroom. For the next reasons: 1. Despite being recognisable, it breaks the immersion. 2. The mega mushroom is clunky animation wise (dropping animation) compared with the one seeing in normal games. 3. We will not see a giant mushroom in a normal game so I think is okay to put the skin version. 4. The mega darts are being there despite the normal dart is not a global ability. 5. The alert of something dangerous for us comes with the red circle that spawns with the mega shroom. Changing the skin will not change the alert symbol (or yes?).

: Everyone will occasionally play their third or fourth best position, so there is less incentive to choose Support as your weakness if it actually is not your weakest position. Additionally we are already close to having a healthy distribution, and we are better off even if only a few more players are available for support. Our plan is to turn this feature on in one region to validate that we will have enough supports in the system. If we don't, we won't be turning the feature on globally.
Well there are people who are support/fill but don't like another role, like me (and the jungle), so I do think this feature will work. Also I would like to know if there are variances between the different servers in the roles chosen? (aka 20% choosing top in server A and 15% preferring top in server B?) TY!

: Hey! Wild Card Shaco and Ace of Spades Ezreal shared a thematic, which meant they were already similar in terms of looks. The in-house testing I had mentioned in the original comment was in the instance of both champions coming out of FoW. You can see where similar outfits and less defined silhouettes may cause issues. As with any new skin, we are open to re-evaluating situations. We've done it before, and have made changes, such as Braum's passive indicator no longer needing to be the same across the board. Originally, it was felt that this needed to say consistent for gameplay clarity. With the new set of chromas, we revisited his hair, and in the instances of brown, opted for a much warmer tone than before. In the instance of him having cooler, black hair (which is the closest you'd seen to that of Ace of Spades Ezreal's original hair), the outfit is red, and isn't close to his Ace of Spades outfit, which eliminates any of the issues we'd encountered in the initial skin set.

Actually no, I tested it in PBE siege, he still requires 5 chimes for every Meep upgrade, requiring 25 chimes to gain the splash damage (which is quite difficult to earn). Also sometimes the chimes spawn inside the teleporter of the attacking team, whichs is harmless for an atttacking Bard but problematic for a defending one because he can't collect it. http://imgur.com/KmLbCEm Normal Bard in Summoners Rift: > MEEPS: Bard's presence attracts small spirits known as Meeps to his side. **Warmog's And Mundo: Your Worst Nightmare** I remember last URF Live Warmogs was deactivated? Well I could not buy that and Neither Dr.Mundo, Warmogs gives him infinite sustain/resets his healthbar to 100% after a few seconds of not being hitted and that's more frustrating than a Sona/Soraka/Nami spamming heal. I tested with and against Mundos

Regarding **Rocket Girl Tristana** Splash: I think the "modified splash" of Rocket Girl does not meet the new threshold of the updated splash's of the other Tristana skins. I mean is more plain and more static, if we compare it with the other ones. My question is: There is a new Rocket Girl Trist on the work and this is a place-holder? or not?

Hmm what I am concerned the most is: Sometimes the pick- ban phase becomes too laggy and sometimes I get kicked for not banning, now with the reduced timers, will be harder to play (aka the reason I do not play in rankeds this season).{{sticker:slayer-jinx-unamused}}

Well the shield that poppy launches with her passive is too shiny and ethereal, if it was rendered like some throwing weapons like Sivir's Boomerang, Draven's Axes, or Pantheon's Spear it would be better. If the shininess is for Clarity you could add a minor glow, not a blinding sunstrike from Leona right to our eyes.
