Janna changes are a direct nerf. Is this intended?

First off, ignore my name. I don't support the orange buffoon anymore. Anyway, I am a mid Diamond Janna main that has some questions about her changes. Namely, did you intend to nerf her or not? I just want transparency. Patch Notes: > Janna > Zephyr (W) > damage lowered from 55/100/145/190/235 to 55/90/125/160/195 > cooldown changed from 8 at all ranks to 8/7.5/7/6.5/6 > mana increased from 50/60/70/80/90 to 60/70/80/90/100 > > Eye of the Storm (E) > shield increased from 70/105/140/175/210 to 80/115/150/185/220 > cooldown changed from 18/16/14/12/10 to 16/15/14/13/12 > [New Effect] "Each Janna ability that slows or knocks an enemy champion airborne will reduce Eye of the Storm's cooldown by 20%." Why it's a nerf: 1.Level 5 is a power spike for Janna because we have rank 3 W and can do good harass. Now we lost 20 damage per shot and it costs 10 more mana. It's a nerf. 2.We NEVER use the shield first. A good Janna player always tornados first to interrupt dashes, stop channels, or just stun. And then once they land, we slow them. And then FINALLY we either ult or shield. You've effectively added 2 seconds to shield cd UNLESS we use our skills suboptimally. Here is how Janna works right now: 1. Enemy J4/Vi/Rek Sai/Irelia/Sejuani/Lee Sin dashes at our ADC 2. Q to interrupt their dash 3. Slow when they land 4. If they continue to pursue, use shield and/or ult Here is how you want her to work: 1. Enemy J4/Vi/Rek Sai/Irelia/Sejuani/Lee Sin dashes at our ADC 2. Shield your ADC and watch them get CC'ed, and make sure Irelia smacks your ADC because you don't want to waste your decaying shield 3. Once your ADC is getting melee'd by Rek Sai, only then are you incentivized to tornado the diver (??????????????????) 4. Your ADC is dead and you lost the team fight, but at least you got 1 sec back on your E cd Here is what will actually happen: 1. Enemy J4/Vi/Rek Sai/Irelia/Sejuani/Lee Sin dashes at our ADC 2. Q to interrupt their dash 3. Slow when they land 4. If they continue to pursue, use shield and/or ult. Enjoy 2 extra seconds of cd on shield. I don't understand the changes. 1. Did you nerf her W damage and buff her early shield CD to make her max E again? I thought you wanted her to be more aggressive. Nerfing W makes her aggression weaker. 2. Do you want us to just shield for the AD buff? Is that why the shield decays and now has 2 extra seconds of CD if you use it defensively? 3. Why on earth would I shield before Q and W? It already decays. Why would I put a decaying shield on, and then interrupt and slow the enemy? It doesn't make any sense. Think about it. Why should I let J4 melee my ADC before using Q? I want to stop him from touching my ADC in the first place. Under these new changes, if I play optimally, my shield CD is increased by 2 seconds. Please send these changes back to the drawing board.
