Lets get straight to the point. The Q buff is infact interesting as it helps your early game quite a bit as the Q cooldown is very long early, but it doesnt change her usefulness in teamfights as the cooldown drops to its normal 11 seconds CD on level 18. NOW this doesnt mean I dont appreciate the buff! It is very nice after all! Just hear me out ok?
Now out of the suggested buffs from the 'Gameplay Thoughts' 7/14 I did like the idea for possible shield buffs for allies that Meddler mentioned. Her W could definitely use a few tweaks so here is my suggestion. Take a look at some of the numbers:
W: Prismatic Barrier

「 Total: 100 / 130 / 160 / 190 / 220 (+ 40% AP) 」----> 「 100 / 140 / 180 / 220 / 260 (+ 50% AP) 」
The problem with the W before it got changed a while back was that it shielded Lux for too much and made her too tanky on lane especially vs damage-over-time. Now instead of simply buffing it we can make it useful for allies while it remains relatively useless for laning besides blocking some ignite damage or tank a creep wave. Dont deny it early game W its pretty bad.
So here is the idea: the INITIAL shield is still small. Infact even smaller than before. Since Lux has over 1000 range getting a jump on her should be rewarding for the enemy assassins (as much as I dont like them but we have to be fair here). So it is a slight nerf early game but it was pretty useless to begin with anyway.
But the RETURNING shield on later levels is a lot stronger to compensate! This rewards you hitting your allies with it more as they will get both parts of the now bigger shield immediately. Lux will benefit from it as well but it takes around 2-3 seconds to reach her, so I dont think thats an issue.
This way Lux gets the utility buffs that help her team, it doesnt make her stronger in 1v1 and it buffs her weakest ability. It has a fair trade off for the buff as well. So all is well with the world!
So tell me what you think about it honestly. I believe it could be a nice and healthy change for the better and it feels like a great idea to me. Its also more interesting than simply increasing the overall shield value as that is boring and hard to appreciate.
Obviously it would be tested on PBE if it would be too strong but I honestly dont think it would be. But if it this means that my teammates would actually pay attention to the W I'd be happy.
And yes I know the change for Q just came out like a day back so things can still change but I just thought I'd mention a suggestion here. It is the Champions and Gameplay Feedback Thread after all!
